I like how isyander described rogue traders as "they're dnd main characters in 40k".

Save for some bugs, the Rogue Trader CRPG is really good and a nice point of introduction for newcomers into the Warhammer 40K universe.
  • I went the aristocrat background and gave my RT a three part name thinking it was nice wordy. I was completely unaware that they already had some extra names to tack on which made it beautifully ostentatious. So now she is technically Sofia Lucrezia Orsina Aeos Venria de Vahl af Calixis von Valancius. But you may address her as Lord Captain.

The channel "A Vox in the Void" has an audio series called "a proppa krumpin" which follows a Rogue Trader with an Orc as a Companion and the entire series so far is absolutely the best thing ive ever heared

It makes me so happy that it truly feels like Owlcat gets it with Rogue Trader. I played Inquisitor Martyr and it felt like they were taking the cliff notes of 40k and guessing at the rest. Everyone in Inquisitor felt like a caricature, but Rogue Trader feels like a genuine effort to adapt the universe into an RPG and it does extremely right by me.
  • Guys, dont buy that game! Just dont. I installed it yesterday and it keeps me awake to 3:30 AM. Im 30 years old, I just cant do this to myself anymore...

I love this game. I'm 50 hours in, following dogmatic choices for the Emperor. If you have Warhammer 40k knowledge you'll love it even more as Owlcat have worked so hard to make it follow the narrative and not deviate. Superb game and I can't wait to play it through again making different choices

On a Rogue Traders warrant it’s usually a drop of the Emperor's own blood not just his signature. I think I remember a passage where a Lictor or other nid was tasked with getting his blood from a warrant for their evolution. That or a chaos assassin. I can’t remember.

I've been going the heretical route and I just love the slow descent from a more radical Rouge Trader to a full blown heretic that my character is going through. Also Rouge Traders have the best drip in 40k and ill die on this hill.

It’s why the original 40K system was called “Rogue trader”. The space marines were troops on RT ships. I ran a RTrpg game and had a cameo by crimson fists as troops the NPC RT could deploy :).
  • This game looks SO good and my favorite YouTuber is SPONSORING it?! I'm SO in! Keep it up Wes and I hope you're feeling better!

Top 5 reasons to be a rogue trader : 5) To have your own ship 4) To have wealth and ressources 3) To be mostly free from the Imperium dictatorship 2) To legaly bang your Eldar waifu/husbando without being declared heretic, as long as you can justify you did it to investigate the ressources of an exodite world 1) To work in an OSHA complient ship

This is probably the best Ad I have ever seen.
  • @VedaRa501
I guess I'm an OG, I still have my collector's edition copy of the Rogue Trader RPG. And I love how Owlcat translated the lore in the book into the game. This is by far the best 40K turn-base/RPG video game that has ever been put out.
  • @davidbaldwin5374
Owlcat made a genius move having you make this video. This video is the only reason I’m buying the game, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
  • @Ironbattlemace
I love the fact that they still make games for us. Bombastic slash and hack and now rpg. I am very happy.

"Their gear? WACK! Their skill? WACK! Their weapons? WACK! Their clothes? WACK! Their tactics? WACK! Their jewelry? WACK! The thing they have that passes for bravery? WACK! The audacity that they dared to fight me? WACK! Me? I'M TIGHT AS F%CK!" - Rogue Trader after conquering a world
