Fun fact: Fox only wanted "Negasonic Teenage Warhead" because of her name, and that was it. In the original comics she had a completely different set of powers, frankly kind of the whole generic potpourri of super strength, speed, durability, plus some telepathy and precog powers, although later they gave her some reality warping powers. The movie version uses the powers of another mutant called Cannonball, the power to kinetically launch herself or objects near her like, say, a cannonball (or a warhead). Fox actually had to negotiate with Marvel Studios to be allowed to use her in the Deadpool movies; in exchange Fox allowed Marvel to use Ego the Living Planet for Guardians of the Galaxy Part 2.
