if we are living in a simulation, my question is whether it's a collective simulation where we're all in the same "dream" or if each of us has his/her own taylored sim in which you are (unwittingly) the center and subject of that "universe."
  • Its always nice to here philosophical concepts being balanced out and challenged , to often we are compounded by the name of things in the technological world and the name , owner also rights to the technology is completely without grounding ore referential context . This alone requires a particular development of knowledge and skill to bypass ore come to terms with . Its at the point of advancement in technology were a continuous updating , mechanising ore naturalising is required yet there can be no doubt that much of the old skill set enters a world of simulated outcomes , many of which go equally unnoticed re simulated ore stunted by the process of education ore animation .

about a month ago I looked at the north star and a minute later it was now on the opposite side of the dipper which was flipped also. So, I was like, damn, glitch much?

Cool video man, what's the background music? I really like it. Starts from around 0:54? Does anyone know?

If we are a simulation then it is possible to assume that perhaps our civilisation was at some risk of dying out and so we created this simulated universe as our only way to survive. We may have reached a point in our understanding where by we could create such a place and upload our consciousness into this simulation. The reason that we die could even be a way to save so called computer memory ( For want of a better term ) One person dies leaving space in the computer memory for another to be born etc. We also have to remember that part of this simulation hypothesis is the hologram universe in that we are projected from the edge if space. There is also the point of particles and that depending on when we choose to look at them, they can behave as a particle or a wave ( Check out the double slit experiment. )

Today ... no one can live without a machine (pc, smartphone, ...) ! This is, for me, the best simulation argument. So, what is for tomorrow ???
  • ever had another youtube account? i really was thinking i was looking at a 100k+ account quality-wise, only to realize there's only 1 video on this account and 195 subs (including me haha) soon enough it will be 195k!
  • I am Neo. An anagram for one. Representing oneness consciousness or the singularity. I work for a company called meta cortex as a computer programmer... that is code for I program change in my frontal cortex and rewrite the code of my mind. I fight the agents of change who try to imitate my oneness. They work on other parts of the illusion to control them and destroy individuality and expression of unconditional love and uniqueness which is the oneness consciousness I represent. I fight those who look the same, dress the same and act the same.

How would you classify a simulation that is diseased with cancer and in agony, or let's say abnormal slash insane creating chaos within the simulation... just Curious
  • What if instead in this simulation some are programmed in it some others are like neo but we simply do not know because they do not disclose them selfs? Could be a nice SciFy story...:)

Too short, I want you to dive in deeper.

This argument of the universe being a simulation sounds to me like the god creation theory, one way or another those two arguments tell us we have 1 creator be it an all mighty spirit or a collective species. lets assume we reached the point we could simulate our realities on a universal scale, why would we recreate our past when we would have them in some sort of archive we could use? and testing out diffrent possibilities in our reality would be unethical which the majority as it is wouldn't allow because even if its a simulation, we create creatures that think for themselves that they are alive and in their reality, I cant think of one legit reason a high intelligence species would create such a thing when they have better options. also point 2, if its a simulation it simulates rules of a diffrent reality that is tested upon us with the rules of that reality as our own, deterioration is a huge factor all things will perish, which makes me wonder the time span the machine user needs to observe what he seeks in thus simulation, he would also die, hes machine will also stop working at some point and if its run by machines and not a organic civilization they would have no reason to do so since we all know the threat of creating a high intelligence AI. also this would lead to infinity which requires infinite power to run if not more, which is not that diffrent from the god creation argument. sorry for being so skeptic but it all reeks of bull to me
