"It's not a lake, it's an ocean." Happy 10th Anniversary Alan Wake.
-
“This story will eat you alive, this story...is a monster”- Alan Wake
-
"IT'S NOT A LAKE, IT'S AN OCEAN" "IT'S NOT A LOOP, IT'S A SPIRAL"
-
Just played the game for the first time. The timing of the sequel couldn’t be more impeccable
-
Why aren't these guys more recognized? Every song they make is a damn masterpiece.
-
People praise The Last of Us for introducing a new level of storytelling in videogames, i think Alan Wake could very well deserve that honor too.
-
This song helped me and my sister when she was beating Stage 4 cancer. And survived.
-
After Alan Wake 2, this song became a lot more meaningful.
-
One of the best soundtracks ever made for a game. When the song plays on the radio while you fight in the barn, as a motivation from a lone radio host , knowing you are out there and fighting for your love... just breathtaking stuff.
-
Moment of silence for all the people who fought in the barn but didn't turn on the radio. RIP
-
Man, look at Ilkka Villi. Look how young he was. That was the music that introduced me to the band and I can't stop hear it ever since
-
Rest easy Alan. The Director is coming for you... Edit: OCTOBER 27TH!! I AM SO FUCKING READY!!!
-
Lots of people are talking about how Alan Wake led them to this song, and thus to the band. For me, it was the reverse. Poets of the Fall led me to Alan Wake.
-
Those who didn't play Alan Wake, will never understand the true beauty and story of this video
-
2020 still , never forgot about this masterpiece
-
Here I am, crying on 26th of August, because tomorrow, a decade later, Alan Wake's story will finally continue. We made it, guys. All the wait wasn't for nothing
-
"It's not a lake. It's an ocean"
-
They have announced the remastered version and I couldn't be happier. I missed you Alan Wake!
-
4:28 just makes me cry. It's THE scene, Alan protecting Alice (his lost love, his main objective) from the hostile incarnations. Not only this game is impossible to forget, like a slice of live you really lived an left at the end (but remaining as a vivid memory of real encounters with real people), but the music is truly telling the deep feelings of the character we play, or must I say "conduct" through this common journey at Bright Falls. Praise this masterpiece !

Lyrics: Do you remember standing on a broken field White crippled wings beating the sky The harbingers of war with their nature revealed And our chances flowing by If I can let the memory heal I will remember you with me on that field When I thought that I fought this war alone You were there by my side on the front-line When I thought that I fought without a cause You gave me a reason to try Turn the page I need to see something new For now my innocence is torn We cannot linger on this stunted view Like rabid dogs of war I will let the memory heal I will remember you with me on that field When I thought that I fought this war alone You were there by my side on the front-line And we fought to believe the impossible When I thought that I fought this war alone We were one with our destinies entwined When I thought that I fought without a cause You gave me the reason why With no-one wearing their real face It's a whiteout of emotion And I've only got my brittle bones to break the fall When the love in letters fade It's like moving in slow motion And we're already too late if we arrive at all And then we're caught up in the arms race An involuntary addiction And we're shedding every value our mothers taught So will you please show me your real face Draw the line in the horizon Cos I only need your name to call the reasons why I fought When I thought that I fought this war alone...
