Amid widespread protest action on college campuses across the US by pro-Palestinian groups - which have at times drawn violent responses by police and pro-Israel counter-protesters - students at the historically black men's university stood and turned their backs on the President in a silent, solemn show of defiance.
Biden stated that the Gaza issue was "one of the hardest, most complicated problems in the world." He later said that Americans must continue to "call out the poison of white supremacy," and "root out systemic racism."
