These are off-air audio recordings made by LSO fans over a period of some 70 years, and are not rips of LSO LIVE recordings or streamed transmissions. We have greatly enjoyed these performances over the years - all of which were at least four years old at the time of posting - and just wish to share them with other music lovers for the pleasure of listening to the LSO in live performances.     I first heard this 50 years ago at the proms. Jess Thomas. Marita Napier and Yvonne Minton, cond Boulez. Same cast as the recording

    Rued Langgaard, at age 18, used the same orchestra idea of repeating triads at the very end of his massive Symphony #1, completed at the same time (available on YT). He also seems to refer to the work in his opera Antikirst. The symphony is rarely played but sounds familiar at first hearing (it may have inspired "Sound of Music"). Langgaard must have heard GurreLieder performed before finishing his first symphony and been influenced by Schoenberg's style of post-romanticism.
