Yuen Yuen Institute in Tsuen Wan is one of the temples in Hong Kong that worships 1) Confucian, 2) Taoism and 3) Buddhist all at the same time. They are also very famous if you're looking to "pray to your Guardian God of the year" also known as Tai Sui, and there are 60 Tai Sui bods. Yuen Yuen Institute has a huge vegetarian restaurant that serves up a Buddhist vegetarian meal, which they are very famous for. For this occasion, we went with the set menu that included, sweet and sour "pork", taro "fish", veggie stir fry, and the vegetarian "goose" accompanied by rice, congee and arrowhead and bean soup. www.yuenyuen.org.hk/

The detail of your vlogs is incredible. Who else does a vlog on Buddha’s birthday with a guest that looks like Buddha. Very impressive Virginia. Keep up the great work. Always learn a lot from your videos.

Hi Virginia, I just had salmon jook/congee for dinner and now, after watching you eat such beautiful dishes, I'm hungry again! I hope all is well with you and your loved ones.

Hey!! Informative and fun presentation! Unique and somewhat different from my local Buddhist cuisine but similar guide lines..no meat in general. Another thing that I haven’t thought about..vegan HK Buddhist Temple food! Thanks for the experience!
