Classic car bought online unseen from auction costly mistake or bargain you decide 😱

Published 2023-05-03
We were wanting to buy a #morrisminor but it went for far too much money, disappointed we did the classic auction silly mistake and bought a car with our heart and because we were in a car buying mood. Even though we have a mechanical genius in the household we didn’t tell him and carried on regardless! Stupid lesson learnt or got way with it? You decide 😂

  • Fantastic to see a young lady so passionate and totally appreciative of the joys of classic vehicle ownership.
  • 42 years in the classic car trade and your video warmed my heart, this is what classic cars are all about, each with its own character. Have fun making happy memories with your Princess
  • Absolutely 🤗 Wonderful 🥰! Congratulations!!!! I'm 63 y.o. ........I got my First British Car almost,50 years ago !!!!! It was a 1964 Jaguar Xke Two door Coupe !!!!! I was Excited as you are !!!!! Many Thanks for bringing a Legendary Memory!!!!!! Enjoy !!!!
  • What a breath of fresh air you are. Your enthusiasm is infectious. I was grinning from ear to ear when you picked it up and first sat in it. Great end to a boring week at work. Don't lose your love for old cars, us old duffers need keen young people like yourself in the old stuff world.

I have never seen someone be so overjoyed about buying a car. I hope you get years of pleasure from it.

The fact that you are soo happy, excited and thrilled with the car proves that it was a bargain at any price! She looks great and I hope you enjoy and take good care of her. Congratulations!

I was smiling throughout this whole video. It took me back many years ago when I surprised my daughter with her first car. She was so happy and acted the same way this young lady did. No matter how old you get, life doesn’t ever get any better than this ! Thank you for this video !
  • When I had my garage business, many years ago, I had lots of young girls buying their first car and were always keen and excited....but NONE compares to your genuine, enthusiastic happiness! Enjoy your new treasure and enjoy all the fun...and troubles...it will undoubtedly bring you! Well done, miss!

Always good to see the younger generation take an interest in these cars as it helps to keep them preserved.
  • @portsidebear
She is so happy! I loved when she thought the cigarette lighter was a switch she thought she broke! She will enjoy the time figuring out all the bits and features this little car offers. A wonderful classic and a perfect fit for her. A Princess for a Princess!
  • As somebody who’s now 73, we were brought up on cars like this. It is only now seeing your enthusiasm, that I realise what is missing in today’s awfully dull computer controlled cars. Enjoy your (new) car, + no car tax or mot required, a winner. 👍
  • Absolutely heartened by your excitement! Congratulations for purchasing a Classic piece of British Car history. As owners, we are their "custodians" or "Keepers" if you like and we keep them alive for others to enjoy as much as ourselves. You will have many many years of enjoyment from her, as I do mine. And yes, I have purchased on-line sight unseen and have been so happy with each purchase. There certainly are some absolute "gems" out there :)

OMG! My biggest fear as I get older is that the younger generation aren't interested in classic cars. How wrong was I. You have put a huge smile on my face with your enthusiasm. I recently sold my car to a young man and he too was so excited. Thank you for sharing. I wish there were more Matilda's in this world!
  • If only everyone was as enthusiastic as this young lady, lovely to see.

It's really good to see a young generation Lady so into and excited about the older cars. I have been teaching my 11 year old grand daughter to weld, wire tow-bar electrics and solder & wire plugs. She now wants me to teach her to drive. "off road on private land of Corse" it seems that this lady has the same feelings for the cars of yesterday. Well done. Great work. Keep up the good work. Hope you get to drive it very soon on the road.
  • As others have said its brilliant to see you so excited. Be aware that classics can need more maintenance than a modern but are worth the ‘smiles for miles’ you get in return. Fantastic video, congratulations😁.
  • Seeing how excited you were with your newly acquired classic car really warmed my heart. I wish you many happy smiles and trouble free miles enjoying your land crab!
  • @lucifarian93
I had a Wolseley 1300 mkII twin carbs ,roomy, lovely to drive , Mulberry White just like yours, my first car . I share your enthusiasm for what is a great vehicle and so well appointed with all that extra Vanden Plas. Now responsible to two Volvo 240s 31 years old and built to last. Wish you every happiness. ❤

Absolutely wonderful to see a young person so interested in an old car, this is a great buy by the looks of it (once you get the door shutline sorted) and hopefully will give her new owner very many happy hours of cleaning, owning and driving and appreciating it. Well done Folks have a great time! Thanks for sharing this with us car people.
  • Lol.. so cute. She didn't know what the cigarette lighter was and called the glass holder an ashtray. So much excitement
