I remember watching this in tears. My father had died 2 days earlier and this was the night before his funeral. The Saints meant a lot to my father and me and this was the first game I watched without being able to talk to him about it. One of my happiest memories was watching them win the Super Bowl against this same team with him. I remember when Tracy Porter intercepted Manning, I turned to my dad who had been a fan through all the terrible years of paper bags and “Aints” and said simply, “Poppa, the Saints are going to win the Super Bowl.”

“Andrew Luck is the grand prize” He’s retired now, life comes at you fast!
-
Imagine having Brees on fantasy for this game
-
Miami was 0-7 at one point and looking really good in the Suck for Luck sweepstakes. And in Typical Miami fashion, they can't even tank correctly, going 6-3 down the stretch...
-
When I seen worst blowout in SNF with the colts and saints I was like what then I seen Peyton on the sideline I immediately understood why
-
Damn that offense was so dope. Brees, Colston, Lance Moore, Robert Meachem, Sproles, Pierre Thomas. Devery Henderson, Chris Ivory, Mark Ingram, Jimmy Graham
-
This was like a Madden game over before half time
-
Sean payton was eating hotdogs during the game 😂😂
-
Who else remembers “Suck for Luck”?😂
-
I’m a saints fan and I remember that season (2011). We all thought for sure this would be the year we’d win our second super bowl. Didn’t happen but still great memories
-
Fun fact: this is a matchup of two Purdue QBs. Painter broke several of Brees' passing records at Purdue.
-
Ah yes the 2011 Saints. Truly a missing ring
-
Glad YouTube recommended a good saints memory after what happened yesterday
-
that 2011 Saints team was something else along with the always forgotten 2013 team.
-
Good grief, I remember just how bad that Colts team was. It just goes to prove that SOMETIMES a QB is the only thing keeping a team from being total crap.
-
Man imagine this Saints offense with our new Defense
-
I remember when we started winning towards the end of the year and being really mad because I wanted Luck so bad 😂 Can’t believe we beat the Texans that year
-
Timing this with that US beat down on Thailand, I see
-
I was at that game! Having been a longtime Saints fan, I’m pretty sure this game set the franchise record for the largest margin of victory.

This just shows you how valuable Manning was to the colts.
