So after a stellar showing by the Emperor of Mankind, next up on Worst Father in the Galaxy: Kor Phaeron!

Wild how the word bearers have arguably the two most hated non promarch characters in 40k being erebus and kor pheron.

People always accuse the Emperor for being a horrible father to his sons, but it is a always a reminder that not all of the adoptive parents of the Primarchs were paragons of virtues, and Kor Phaeron is on the top list of being a bad dad.

It’s strange that Erebus and Kor Phaeron are not described as being heavily mutated, which is normally the case for the most advanced worshippers of Chaos.

Even as a Word Bearers fanboy, I hate this guy. He is the perfect villain. Absolutely unrelatable, alien, and corrupt. He is amazing in that way, and as such? He deserves recognition.

Its a shame Kor gets overshadowed by both Erebus in the eyes of the fandom in terms of hate and responsibility for the heresy. When Really he's just as responsible as him. Like Erebus he too remained a chaos worshiper in private even after joining the legions and like Erebus he too was basically following Lorgars orders after both of them convinced him to join Chaos (I imagine the reason Lorgar is considered "the first heretic" is because in order to be a heretic you need to be a loyalist first which neither of them were). This probably has something to do Erebus appearing in the book series first.

Ngl, lorgal story is Imo the first clue to everything being part of the plan of big E. Imo he knows the the only way to destroy the chaos gods is by becoming a God himself and logar was the first step.

Thinking of the old man sqeaking about in modified terminator armor....yelling "boy!" At lorgar as he rushed to protect his sons being slaughtered by Corvus...then saved from the killing blow by The night haunter. Kor did have balls tho, walking around missing a heart from Bobby G punching him...he survived to establish a safe haven in the eye. Sor telron was melted and in hell and lorgar brought him back...then became a dreadnought the warmonger. Badass. Lorgar had some balls to but his ego got too big. I love betrayer tho....buddy cop with angron in the shadow crusade.

We need a plot line where this guy gets his due. I propose that Khran thanks out both him and Erebus and throws their souls to the warp.

Kor Phaeron is SO detested that on Rule34, there is neither hard kor nor soft kor.

Awesome video! I'm still newish to the hobby and didn't really understand what his role was in everything. Any chance of doing a video on Zahariel? He's been my favorite character since I started reading the Horus Heresey. Just starting on Fallen Angels and I'm so excited to have Zahariel as a main character again!
