We all know that spending more time doesn't necessarily mean better results. I learned that working for 2 hours a day at an intensity of 10 is better than working 10 hours a day at an intensity of 2. In this video, I'm going to share all the strategies that I learned throughout high school, college, and medical school that boosted the value of my study time, giving me more freedom to enjoy other things I love.

🙏 Thanks for watching!

My trend is: how I sleep 11 hours a day, and still feel tired

“Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.” Never doubt yourself
  • Here's my philosophy: forget the grades, and learn what you have to study for the sake of learning. The journey will be enjoyable and grades will come to you automatically.
  • 1 hr of focused learning >> than 10hrs of sitting in front of books 📚 , It's all about focus, commitment, sheer will✏️

Also studying for 2 hours leaves lots of free time to workout, read, relax etc... that actually help increasing the quality of your studies

1.define what you need to know Syllabus Ask 'will this be one the test?' Ask seniors Identify weakness(practise test) 2. Go digital Digital notes Pre recorded lectures (YouTube/websites) Digital flashcards(remote, anki) 3. Deep work No multitasking Pomodoro Make it a ritual(designated spot, playlist, same time everyday)

    1. Define - know what you need to know - teachers, upper class men 2. Digital - notes, prerecorded lecs, flashcards 3. Deep Work - no multitask, pomodoro, habits
  • I studied for about 15 minutes a day and took am taking calc at age 14. This video is one of the few that highlights the importance of, "Study smart, not hard."

Most of the time I cram. I feel like every class I take I could ace if I put in the time and effort, but I just can’t find the drive too. Later on I just feel guilty thinking “I should have been studying instead of doing this or that”. I’m sure others can relate

this is the best quality abt studying advice/motivation ive watched so far. most content creators abt life/work/study advice are getting repetitive and sometimes i dont think they were doing it out of quality but quantity for their channel. Thank you for this video!

Deep work is key! I suffered a bit in dental school not putting in the effort myself. Have been working on it since. Thanks for this video!

My mom said to me once: If you pay attention in class, ask what you ignore, and share what you know, you will never have to study. So far that's working for me flawlessly

They spend LESS time studying because they are CONFIDENT because they have studied WHOLE TIME.. same as a compounding habit.. thats why THEY DONT STUDY 14hrs A DAY AT THE END MOMENT but chill study little bit everyday

I have been in a lot of tight situations for exams. What has helped me the most is making a simple list (per chapter) of just the concepts/terms that I need to know. I only write the names (no definitions), and I then realign them from the most important to the least important. I then type out (in my own words) the definitions of the terms without looking at notes. I double-check and repeat. This system has helped me a lot in exams.

Awesome video. I have so many hobbies that I absolutely refuse to give up for the sake of studying so this is right up my alley

I never understood how people could spend like 12hrs studying on the weekend, even when finals came around I didn't study that much. (I just graduated from high school so this was my experience in senior year)I usually gave myself one hour per day at home to finish everything and 2hrs max per day on weekends because I found that having slept well and a clear head allowed me to study more efficiently. And it also helped not to procrastinate when you know you won't be there sitting for hours and not being able to finish your work, it's way easier to get one hour down and put stuff away.

Ever since hs, I never cared what the percentage of a certain exam is or what questions will likely to appear in an exam. I enjoy the process of learning so I would naturally try very hard to understand and learn the topics. My grades would just follow. Amazingly, my grades were really really good! However, with the quantity we need to learn in medicine, my previous methods were simply ineffective. I was forced to study the testable materials and let go of my principles.
