There is a big lack of women artists and designers over 35 represented online. I saw you video a few days ago, clicked on it but didnt have time to watch it so I went through my history today to find it again as I am so keen to hear the stories of other women artists who arent super young anymore. I am in my 40s and also pursuing my art/design dreams and it can feel alienating seeing all the very young artists on youtube. It's great you've started your channel, I am wishing lots of good luck with your new path.

Congrats! I'm 60 and coincidentally I quit my corporate job on Monday to find my own way to a more free and fulfilling life. Your video was so inspiring and helps me to know that it was the right decision and the world is full of possibilities. Thanks for sharing your story with openness and vulnerability. I love the phrase inspired action.💖
  • I enjoyed your video about starting an art career in your 50’s. I made the decision to start formally taking art classes PT while working FT about 5 years ago. I’m now 60. I still work FT in my career, not in art. I live in a super expensive state. I keep going with my art. I keep trying to grow with it and learn more. I’m divorced as well. I will never give up on my art. We do fucking deserve it!! We gave enough to everyone else our whole lives and continue to do so. I subscribed to your channel. There are quite a few women in our age group taking classes in the art school where I go. It’s a “thing” now! I love the bulletin board- Be delusional.
  • Thank you for sharing, I'm 58, a self taught artist, my sister shared your video and I'm encouraged to never give up on my dream.
  • I downloaded your last video and listened to it while I was at the gym, which is one of the new things I'm doing in my 50's. It really resonated with me. I'm in the process of working out my own creative niche after years of inaction. Reaching 50 is feeling amazing right now. Suddenly, after years of self-doubt I feel like I know who I am and I'm not afraid to show it, be it and live it.
  • Thank you for sharing your story!!! I am turning 65 in November and have been a part time artist the past 6 years. Watching you, I have decided to push and starting making goals for my future self. Thank you for your words of wisdom!🥰
  • I also am a 50 year old new artist again after years of doing what I was supposed to😢. It’s been hard because I don’t have a lot of support from my spouse. To him it’s a product and not worth anything if it’s not making a good income. I’m fighting the urge to quit because of it. I am extremely creative and focused on oils and drawing. Your video is one of the few that address older artists. Thank you so much.
  • There's many of us around a certain age, feeling unfulfilled with corporate jobs. Retiring at 55 has helped me follow PASSIONS. Very lucky, I know, and im extremely grateful. Cheering for you. ❤
  • Hi, I started getting back into my art at 52 in Feb 2022 after not doing so for 30 years +. At the moment, my goal is just to continue to allow my creativity. I had carried on writing, but not visual art like now. All the best, John
  • I watched your last video, I decided to pursue my art full time 10 years ago, I gave myself a year to see if I could survive. 10 years later i'm still here and doing great. I'm sure you will be a great success, I will quietly watch your journey as I don't usually comment. All the best, Steve 😊
  • “… Other people’s fears that keep us from doing the stuff we want to do… they are afraid of it for you. “ That’s one powerful statement of truth!
  • I am so happy for you, YouTube showed me your video and it really did resonate with me, I am 56 and an aspiring artist, also on my own after a tough divorce and I so congratulate your bravery of putting yourself out there, it would terrify me. I am trying to get braver and am taking a step at a time and watching you do this motivates me, I have subscribed and am looking forward to watching your journey ❤❤ (I never comment - one step at a time 😊)
  • YT suggested your video a few days ago and today I saw it again and finally had time to sit back and listen to you express my exact thoughts. I'm in my 50s and was extremely creative in my youth. I've been in corporate for 30+ years, thankful but my creative spark is hanging by a thread. You inspired me so much. Third video in I subscribed to your channel ☺️I see in the comments so many of us are going thru the same process. Thank you for the inspiration and pls continue to rediscover, so many congratulations ☺️ And to the rest of the community, it's so comforting to see a lot of us are on the same path 💛
  • Congratulations on meeting your monetization requirements!!! I’ve been on the fence for a while about starting a channel, and I don’t know what stopping me all of this is so inspiring… I wish you peace, abundance and prosperity on your beautiful journey!❤️🙏🎨
  • Well done! I've been working away on my own channel about ADHD for ages, it's growing slowly but surely and after watching you I realise I need to get back into creating content for it and follow my dreams of helping other women who are late diagnosed. And yes, we do fucking deserve it!
  • Yessssssss!!!! Congrats, congrats, congrats!!! I’m so happy to be one of the new people watching you and your journey!! Wow, just wow. Enjoy this amazing milestone! ❤❤❤❤

I have a list of youtube videos that I call Reminders...videos that inspire me that I want to rewatch for inspiration and motivation...this one just went in that list.
  • I found you today and watched this video and the one before it. I'm a 67 year old spiritual creative who's refuses to to disappear into old ladyhooddom. Thank you! I'm now a subscriber. You have inspired me!
  • I think you said what a lot of us are thinking and dreaming of. I just turned 56 and I have decided to finally pursue that creative path that I gave up in my 20s when my creativity got crushed by the reality of having to pay rent, and my self esteem was shattered by bad relationships, and toxic workplaces, etc. I think the last few years of my life have made me realize that we only get this one life and if I don’t build myself up to do the things I always wanted to do, nobody else will.
