With the map open, click the right stick to orient the map with the north to the top of the screen. For me that helps a lot when finding my way.

Thank you for the early game tips! I am trying very hard to avoid big spoilers and streams of people playing the game (my switch does not let me play the game yet...), but early game stuff is very helpful!

If you can get I-bui, if it has any neutral Nature, evolve it into either E-fi or Burakki-, and its Synchro Ability will have each Pokémon you get match the leading Pokémon's Nature. You can be able to up your Pokémon's stats properly.
