  • Wendy’s making fun of people who are “behind the times” in an ad where they unironically use top and bottom Impact text memes is peak irony
  • @Nicofaster21
the shamwow guy is a legend in spanish speaking countries because the shamwow and slap chop commercials were also made in spanish but they didnt like get a spanish actor, it was the god damn dude just trying to speak the most broken spanish you can imagine and even spanish speakers could barely understand it, it is funny as hell
  • So, as it turns out, the Mighty Putty DID actually work as advertised. That shit could pull tens of thousands of pounds of weight when left to dry for 24 hours, honestly miracle work
  • fun fact! I knew the guy who did the Doritos time machine ad, and that wound up being his "big break" into the film industry! he has since passed, unfortunately, but its nice to see people still remember his Doritos ad.

what annoys me about the wendy’s ad is that they have “the meme-er” or whatever who is supposed to be current with internet humor but is wayy stale and then they have “the behind -the-timer” who is saying supposedly old jokes/phrases but they basically are the same person. it just lacks self-awareness

I never liked Shamwow guy because his voice had the cadence of a street magician
  • @arakano
You aren't alone in how comfortable that Chef Boyardee commercial is. It's such a wholesome commercial!
  • Look, I know this is years later but I finally got that JG Wentworth song out of my head and NOW IT'S BACK! EDDY YOU'RE A MONSTER! WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME!?
  • @gertie187
eddy you're looking more and more like a history professor who has recently gone through a terrible divorce and is on the brink of being fired every day

I begged my mom for a shamwow for Christmas when I was a kid and the second I opened it on christmas day, I ran to the kitchen so I could dump out an entire liter of soda onto the floor to test it. Sadly, the shamwow did not work and I just had a bunch of soda on the floor on Christmas day

The Free Credit Report songs were so catchy. I remember being in middle school at their height and on a field trip for some reason the whole bus started singing one of the songs, like absolutely belting a commercial song meant for a demographic we didn’t belong to. Iconic lmao
  • When Eddy went to take a drink after the sham-wow commercial, my instinct was to yell “Eddy no that’s the carpet cola!”
  • Eddie: Is hurt by people thinking he’s 35. Also Eddie: Has an 35 year old dad mustache.
  • @PagodaToga
Chef boyordees motto shouldve been “boyaredeez good”
  • I loved JG Wentworth commercials. They were catchy, memorable, and funny. Commercials were a giant part of millennial and Gen X life. They were just as important as the shows and movies that came out back then. 🥰 I think you're considered an older Gen Z, just based on your age. You're seriously only 23? You are so young, lol.
  • I studied opera, and my friends and I absolutely love the JG Wentworth ads. We always sing along lol
  • @BornNoU
I wish he hadn’t cut the footage, I’d have loved an hour of Eddy drunkenly ranting about commercials from my childhood
  • @fittest_
it took me a while to realize the thumbnail is an old spice ad of a guy's abs and not a talking piece of melted chocolate
