Not me standing at the sink doing dishes just cryinggg at our chat at the beginning. It’s so true. People ask me “what do you like to do?” And since becoming a mom I honestly don’t know anymore. Now I’m really considering doing a solo day trip as well! 💜💚

Dream Mom Day - Stay at Riviera, Skyliner to Epcot, Sit in France and people watch - then eat/drink/shop/chill around World Showcase the rest of the day.
  • Ugh. Even if I can’t swing a Disney trip, this is so inspiring to take just 24 hours to remember who I was before being “mom”!

I’m a newly single mom and fortunately live 30 min from Disney. After 6 months of doing about every other week of a small solo-mom day trip (when he’s at his dad’s), it’s still very difficult to go without my son. I still look around at all the babies and toddlers his age and look at all of the things he loves and miss him so much, but I know I have to take time for me to “fill that cup” in such a sensitive time in my life right now. I love spending my “me” time at Disney and finding myself again- I even hyped myself to ride Tower of Terror alone and that ride is terrifying to me 😂 I think solo trips are empowering (at Disney or anywhere else) and love videos like these that encourage that. Finding yourself again and taking love and care for yourself is so important to be able to fill your child’s cup to the max ❤️

Taking my first solo trip in April for my 40th birthday. Mom guilt and nerves are setting in fast!💜💚

Hey, Ashley...kudos to you for taking this solo trip. Remember, you're raising little girls who will grow up to be young women. It's important for them to see your independent side and you choosing yourself when needed. Those are healthy things to model for them. BTW, why was my favorite part of this video you running to catch the MK bus. Honorable mention goes to "hi, bunny"...LOL
  • Every mom ever needs to hear your Ted talk for sure. I never want to do anything by myself because the mom guilt is real. I’m glad that you enjoyed your mom trip and was able to see the positives in things and really enjoy yourself 💜💚💛🎉🍾
  • I'm only 7 or so minutes into this video and had to tell you that I so resonate with losing who you are when you are a mom. My boys are 16 and 13, so getting more independent and I find myself not even knowing what I like anymore! I have no idea what to do with myself these days. But starting to embrace rediscovering who I am as Tara and not just Mom. Thank you so much for this!

I’m 44 years old and I’ve been a mom and wife for so long I don’t know myself anymore. This vlog let me know it’s time to find out who I am. ❤
  • I am going for 2 nights in April by myself! In 2023 I went for 3 nights alone for the Princess weekend and I went home saying I’d never go solo again - simply because I missed my husband and son. But here I am 😂 I think 2 nights will be the perfect amount of time!
  • It actually makes me feel a little better that losing yourself in motherhood is a thing others feel too! I went to a naturopath recently and on our initial meeting she was asking me questions and getting to know me and she asked me what I liked to do. I sat there not knowing what to say and I started to cry! I have no idea what I like to do anymore 😢 Disney is something I love and I’ve been playing with the idea of just my husband and I going without the kids but it’s the mom guilt that kicks in….maybe I just need to do it! I just need to find myself again 💕
  • I am a grandma of three and i go for my therapy every year and stay for three days! I feel no guilt when i go solo. I honestly have a blast! I am Like a 15 -year -old in a sixty year old body lol. We took our kids to Disney land and world quite a few times. No one enjoys it like i do. I Love the thrill rides, all of them. Good for you, do not feel guilt. You deserve it!🎉❤😊i

I did a solo trip for my 40th birthday. It was absolutely wonderful!! Being able to just walk around and soak in the details. Getting to browse through the shops at my own pace. Maybe im the the odd one out, but no i did not feel any guilt. The guilt has to stop. We are moms but we're also women who deserve a chance to breath and get a break.

As a stay at home mom of three, sometimes we forget about time for just us. “Me time.” I’m finally taking my first solo trip at the beginning of March for my birthday. I know I will miss my husband and kiddos so much, but this is something I need to do for myself. I’m staying at French Quarter too! You have inspired me to finally make this trip happen! I’m SO nervous but also excited. Thanks for all the great tips and advice.

I’m a mom of 2 girls and i did a solo trip to Epcot 2yrs ago and it was worth it! It did feel strange not having to stroll around a stroller and having to hold everything lol…but solo Disney trips are a must, for us busy moms! ❤
  • I did a solo trip 3rd week of January and it was the first time I had been away from my 2 and 4 yr old for more than 24 hours. I felt a lot of the same emotions. The whole finding yourself and what interests you is so true. I definitely came home a different mom. Healthier with a direction. I did a 5 night trip and it was probably a day or two too long but it definitely gave me some time to find myself. Glad you enjoyed your trip!!

💜💚💛 Hey there from a fellow Pooh fan! I had a Pooh themed room as a kid too! 😄 and it’s so sweet because now Pooh is one of my son’s favorites too, and my 8 week old daughter met Pooh a few days ago and literally lit up when she saw him 🥹🥹 Congrats on 20k subscribers!! Looks like you had such a fun trip!

💜💚💜💚I think I would literally just walk through all the stores if I did a solo trip. We can’t go in a store and actually look at things with our daughter 😂
