Jokes aside, the new animation (besides being way more intense) is so much better when it comes to clarity. It does a much better job at communicating that the creature can only track you with sound
  • To be honest I think which cut scene you like better is depicted by what character you think is best for Figure. The old one makes him seem more careful of bumping into anything and like he's trying to walk slower to keep more quiet (so he can listen for noises instead of hearing his footsteps). He seems more intelligent and careful; more humanoid. The new one makes him seem less intelligent and more blood-thirsty and as if he's trying to take any chance he can to get to his prey. He's messier, which portrays more of the monstrous and aggressive vibe they're going for. Honestly there are things I like better about both, and I really can't decide which one I like best but regardless, THEY NEED TO BRING BACK THE FLICKERING LIGHTS.
  • Personally I think I like the new one better. The old one makes figure kinda more humanoid and as if he could see just fine but the new one makes him look more like a monster and he actually looks blind.

The old one is better because imo it feels nostalgic and wandering in the smart way that’s why i prefer this version.

I actually liked the old one better because the old animation made him look more careful and went from one shelf to another. The new one makes him look more mess making
  • Figures new animation makes him look more aggressive. I like that.

So no one is gonna talk about how his Library door was a regular door?
  • Made by an ai The Library When first encountered, a cutscene will play, in which Figure appears around a bookshelf and runs at the player due to the noise made from the door opening. Soon after, a lamp crashes to the ground which causes Figure to runs out of sight to investigate. The Figure is completely blind and will wander around the library as it feels with its hands. A warning of it knowing where you are is when it makes a noise or lighting up its mouth. If it hears a noise caused by a player, such as running or walking, the player grabbing books, interacting with the padlock,[1]or if the player hides, the Figure will run towards said player. Figure can detect a player that is hiding in a closet, making said player play a mini-game where they have to time their heartbeats to survive before the Figure leaves and allows the player to continue searching for books. They can get one warning without dying, but if they fail a second time, Figure will proceed to pull them out of the closet and decapitate them, resulting in an instant death. Do note that if you hide, it will attract Figure due to the sound it makes. This can be fatal in multiplayer runs, as some teammates might be killed. The Figure speeds up for every book collected in the library, whereas for the first two books, the player can outrun it, but after this, it becomes faster than the player, and it is advised to crouch to stay undetected. The player will be faster than the Figure for a short time if the player is to use Vitamins. Stepping on debris scattered around the floor will not immediately make Figure pursue you, but it will walk over to investigate. The Electrical Room When the gate is opened, the Figure will appear from a room to the left upstairs before running down the stairs and after the player. After the player hides or loses the Figure, it will start walking around the hallways as the player searches for the 10 fuses on the shelves. Once all the fuses are inserted into the circuit breaker box, a cutscene plays where the Figure walks on a puddle of oil on the floor with an exposed electrical wire touching it. The Figure is set on fire as it touches the electrified oil and starts running back the way it came, slamming itself against the walls several times before crashing straight into a window unknowingly, causing it to fall out of view. Once the player completes the Circuit Breaker Puzzle, the Figure will bang on the door behind the player until it breaks it down, then chase the player as they run for the elevator. At the elevator, Figure violently bangs on the door desperately trying to get the player as the elevator descends. Suddenly, Figure re-appears ontop of the elevator, cutting the cable which causes the elevator to have a free fall. During this time, the Figure is thrown off into an unknown underground part of the Hotel. Once the elevator reaches the lowest floor, the Figure reappears ontop of the elevator and forces it to move downwards. The player must jump out of the way as the elevator crashes and explodes at the bottom. A new cutscene plays as the Figure runs from the smoking remains of the elevator as the doors open. The Fifth Floor The Figure returns to the fourth floor, as the players work their way to the fifth floor. When the elevator doors open, the figure comes running down the hall, in an attempt to catch the player. The player hides behind the bookshelves, and the figure stops on top of one of the bookshelves, which causes it to walk right through the bookshelves. The Figure becomes cornered when it gets tangled up with the bookshelves and can be trapped by the player for a short time. However, it can bypass the bookshelves by using special books like Insolence of the Necrofriggians in order to jump over them. The player will be killed if they do this without taking out the Figure. When the player collects the 13 Invisible Books on the first, third, and fourth floor, the Figure will suddenly appear right behind them. This only occurs when a book is not the nearest book, as if there is one on the second floor, or if the player has any books that are not nearby, but the figure can't reach it. The player can wait for the Figure to be chased to a certain distance before they run away, which will make the figure follow the player. Eventually, the Figure will be killed by the player's sword when they are in their room. Finding the Formulas for the Blood-8 Firebomb The fifth floor begins with the Figures attacking the player ontop of the well, with one being seen above the door to the elevator. If the player kills the Figure by using the sword or a baseball bat ontop of it, it will suddenly morph into an Angry Statue that moves and shoots spikes at the player. Once the Angry Statue is defeated, it reverts to the Figure. The second floor is then the same as the first. If the player stays in one room for too long, the figure will start chasing them. The figure will be constantly transformed into different forms, the last being the Executioner which shoots several bone shards at the player. The figure can not only be killed but also destroyed if the player can destroy the items around it. It will not attack the player or let them stay in one place if it is destroyed. When the player reaches the rooftop, the figure will attack them and have a short fight before being destroyed, but if they use the blindfold, they can take control of the figure. Finding the Formulas for the Gravity Gun The Figure will then show up behind the player in a section of the roof that opens up after the walkway is cleared. The Figure will try to chase them, but the player must jump out of the way and land on the walkway. The figure will then transform into a Ladybug and fly upwards. If the player is using the Dark Matter Stone, the figure will fly away from the player and fall from the roof. The Figure is also vulnerable to the Killstick and Gravity Gun, which can destroy or repel it. If the player is using the Gamma Gun, they can break off the wings and destroy the figure. The Ladybug returns as an invisible Ladybug that hides in the rafters and waits for the player. The Fifth Floor Boss: The Ladybug The Ladybug will appear on the roof after the player clears the fifth floor. It will remain here the entire time. Going up the stairs will reveal an elevator with the Figure inside. The elevator only has one door to it. Once the player walks in, the elevator will automatically go down to the first floor, and the Figure will emerge from the wall and fall towards the player. The player can use the shock whip to temporarily disable it, or destroy it. If the player attacks it with the Hunter's Bow, the Ladybug will transform into the Ladybug Queen. If the player destroys the Queen, it will reappear on the roof. Closing and opening the door will reveal a hallway with a Gila Monster/Cobra Monster attacking the player on a pillar. If the player attacks the Gila Monster with the bow, it will transform into the Joker. If the player attacks the Joker, it will remain in the pillar for a short time, before getting into a brawl with the player. The Joker can kill the player by smashing it with its head or be defeated by destroying the pillar it's on. If the Joker's head falls on the ground, the player can then go to the next floor. If the player successfully defends against the Joker, it will return to the pillar. The Joker is made of red cubes and can kill the player by smashing them with the head. The roof from this floor is the location of another one of the Gray shadows. The Joker is made of red cubes and can kill the player by smashing them with the head.
