Because the Clippers are so expensive, above the second apron, new rules prevent them from signing and trading him. New York’s only avenue to acquire George would be for him to opt into his $48.8 million player option for 2024-25, then have LA work out a trade.

Getting PG means extending PG. Unless he’s willing to slot into Bojan’s salary space (~$20M), don’t want to add him bc it would end up replacing Randle’s new contract with a near max deal for an old ass PG.

I like PG13 as a player. My other issue (aside from possible injury) is how he didn't show up to take o er in the playoffs. I k kw we wouldn't ask him to be the lead, but with injuries, you never know who you need to step up. We might need to pass.

Knicks should not fall into trap. PG is 34 yrs old, played 48, 54, 31, 56 and 74 games the last 5 seasons with LAC. Would not waste any 1st round picks for a player on the decline and always injured. Last thing Knicks need is a season ending injury comes playoff time. One first round and 2nd round for PG take it or leave it. Also, if Knicks extend him their cap will be crippled for many years to come
