Hey everyone! I want to make a note about something I was incorrect about. Charging Ion's laser shot DOES NOT increase damage. Although it is great for goosing pilots and is my favorite hitscan pilot deletion tool!

As a scorch main I must say… I agree homestead and rise are a nightmare to play on
  • @taroko3721
Lets not forget that scorch auto-pilot mode and especially enhanced auto-pilot is a monster considering his accuracy with his primary. He hits so many airshots with it it’s insane

I haven't played tf2 in a while, but seeing a scared Ronin just turn around and run away from me was one of the best feelings I got playing scorch.
  • Papa scorch is crazy on console, especially with that improved thermal shield. Ronins core can’t even out dps the shield it’s crazy, I’ve killed two ronins in one charge with it before!
  • @mike_v02
Opinion on how to play them: Tone. Keep your distance. Monarch. Don't die early. Scorch. Surprise mechanic. Ronin. Hit and run. Ion. Adjust your playstyle. Legion. Just keep on shooting. Northstar. Never get caught.
  • Scorch with the thermal plating top tier for me because I like to set up the barrels and use primary then follow up with ordinance
  • When there’s two people on each team with a monarch who are all skilled: All fighting eachother for the entirety of the game
  • @YTMyx0
Ion is fairly newbie based at first, but when you find out all the things of how ion works, a whole new playing field is unlocked, many people don't utilise ions damage cap on the shield or the fact that you can kill a rodeo pilot with the laser tripwire or even block an entire thermite canister so it does no damage when ignited with your vortex shield.
  • I main Ion. the reasons WHY are because A: I have a stupidly aggressive playstyle that doesn’t work with Monarch due to her not having a shield. B: She’s extremely versatile, which helps if a scorch comes round a corner and starts introducing me to hell. C: hehe ion prime execution go BWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  • @kevinl4837
I think Ion is powerful because she specifically have no hard counter. This makes it so when she is in a 1v1, it's more about the ion player's skill that determine if they survive
  • @judge_rekt
Holding Ion's laser shot longer does not increase its damage. There is no charging.
  • @WireWhiz
One small correction, a good scorch main always beats a ronin. The sword does a lot less damage then the flame shield and by the time they notice you’ve got a free execution.

Personally, I love playing Northstar. It isn’t something you can’t play instantly, it’s a Titan that takes a lot of time to learn. It has a stupidly terrible defense ability, which is fantastic because it teaches you to play strategically and from far away. Before I played Northstar, I was a Tone main, and I have loved the change from blank shooting to strategizing paths and shots. …Plus the prime Titan termination is so, so cool…
  • For Monarch I wouldn't say she's super easy to play since she only really becomes an unstoppable killing machine at T3 but you can usually tell how good the pilot is based on their performance with her. If you have someone running around as T3 Monarch for the entire game you know you're playing against someone who can manage her early cores well since that's when she's at her weakest.
  • @afungai1649
Ion is either put in S tier or goddamn C tier depending on who’s reviewing her. Ion should be my favorite titan since her kit is so basic but I just cannot do well with her for some reason.

Hello, I have a G17 Scorch and wanna chime in with my takes on the titan. While he may be the hardest titan to play, he's far from a hard thing to use in the wider fps context. I struggle more when using a Kraber than the thermite launcher, and the Kraber is my most used weapon by far. The thing with scorch is that unless you can directly outplay or surprise an enemy, you're toast. Basically the only counterplay a Scorch has vs a mid-long range Northstar or Tone is to predict when the titan will peek out from cover. Since the vast majority of fps players will peek corners almost rhythmically, dipping in and out for the same amount of time every time, this can be surprisingly easy. Same counterplay applied to pilots trying to anti-titan weapon you. But, if these players realise you're predicting their peeks they can either adapt their timings, or just stop peeking. A Scorch, when played well, can dominate a lobby. A lobby that doesn't know any better. Scorch is only ever as good as you let him be. He does have some bs plays, flushing pilots out of a room with a trap + shot, etc. A good scorch can destroy and titan or pilot thrown at them. Unless that titan or pilot is sentient, and willing to pay attention to and disable the scorch. However, if people don't wanna learn, a good scorch can farm lobbies faster than you imagine. To close off, here's some random notes about scorch. You can animation cancel the reload with the flame shield. If you back up into a wall, look up, and hold flame shield, any pilot that just finishes a rodeo will be immediately killed. Scorch can snipe if you're comfortable with the weapon. Mid range maps like Blackwater are some of my favourites. Scorch can pop flame core right before nuke ejecting and get both off. This funny animation cancel can decimate titan HP. Pilots often do not respect a Scorch. They will assume you will miss. If you get comfy with his gun, pilots will begin to donate kills to you. Also use flame shield as a melee alternative vs pilots
  • As a ronin main I very much pride myself in playing good enough that when an unexperienced pilot tries to verse you but runs away instead is such a good compliment. Once became friends with a fellow ronin main by giving a really fun fight. Straight out of an anime I’ll tell ya
  • @CollectorsTeam
I feel that you missed out on how insanely good Northstar's cluster missile is for clearing out enemy pilots hiding in buildings, especially in hardpoint or bounty hunt. As for Tone, my problem with it is just how much low risk high reward it is. I feel like it's easier to use than Monarch, because with Monarch, you need to survive long enough to become unkillable, where as Tone just does so much damage overtime that it doesn't need to survive that long to be effective. Plus it's 40mm is just the best pilot killing weapon out of any titan.
  • Hidden compartment makes Legion way scarier to fight up close. Hitting both shotgun sneezes is enough to out damage just about anything except a Ronin’s core or a Scorch giving you a hug. It’s also harder to shoot around his gun shield as long as the pilot keeps facing toward you
