Ryan Day trying to get Michigan's signs from Franklin. Franklin: "HB Dive x 40"

Manny Diaz was hellbent on getting sacks/ strip sacks to turn momentum. DE flew upfield all game creating creases and Michigan game plan was to avoid that disaster. Sherrone coached circles around Franklin

Getting beat by a scheme that doesn’t include the forward pass is embarrassing. Knute Rockne is rolling over in his grave.
  • Michigan went into the halftime with a one score lead and decided to run the clock out from the first play of the second half. Penn State that was embarrassing. More embarrassing than getting blown out by them in years past.

My point exactly.. this is how you counter this teams aggressive ass defense.. run at them.. the adjustments that were in game after 2 series was next level. Going too a jumbo set is something we haven’t bring out all year was huge. Michigan is finding ways too win & running with it〽️〽️

I think it was more of a statement to run the ball up the #1 run defense throat, had nothing to do with JJ he's been very efficient this year in the air

How about them Wolverines Josh? 😂😂
  • @Johnadams20760
what is more impressive about this is the fact it was A. int he hardest place to play on the road. 2. no HC. 3. PSU is a top 10 team and is a top 3 defense in the run
  • How frustrating to be Manny Diaz and have Michigan neutralize EVERYTHING that your defense does well. God I loved watching it. Boring, maybe to some, but a coaching clinic nonetheless.

Michigan said, we’re gonna run it, and you know it, but you can’t stop it! We don’t need your signs because we’re just better than you! You know it and we know it!

If the BIG 10 really wanted to punish Michigan they would have suspended James Franklin instead.
  • The moment that ball was kicked off, the hour glass was turned over on James Franklin. All Michigan had to do was protect the ball, play field position, and wait patiently for the inevitable brain malfunction by James Franklin...and sure enough...just like clockwork.

Best part of the game is when fox zoomed in on this 10 year old penn state fan. Hes disgusted and says what is he doing is he an idiot lmao

well, the reference to the Michigan team of a couple years ago against GA was some encouragement for PSU. most of their best players except for the left tackle are frosh and sophomores. so, perhaps in a couple years, they will compete. in the Fox pregame they said UM has the "oldest" or something like that team in FBS. and that made me uneasy because a good team of seniors will almost always beat a good team of sophomores. well, the game in two weeks will sure be interesting, as will how either OSU or UM or both will compete with the SEC this year.
