Back to Front – Live in London captures the complete live performance of the So album from start to finish. This spectacular live concert, filmed at London’s O2 over 2 nights in October 2013, using the latest Ultra High Definition 4K technology, captures Peter Gabriel’s celebration of the 25th anniversary of his landmark album So. To mark the event, Gabriel reunited his original So touring band from 1986/87 (David Rhodes, Tony Levin, Manu Katché and David Sancious, with Jennie Abrahamson & Linnea Olsson) and for the very first time fans saw them play the multi-platinum selling album in its entirety. As a bonus Back to Front includes “The Visual Approach” a fascinating feature on the creation of the live show. While the core of the performance is the So album, there is so much more to the concert with unfinished, previously unreleased and re-imagined songs sitting effortlessly alongside classic hits reflecting what a multi-dimensional artist Peter Gabriel is. With innovative lighting and staging, Back to Front – Live in London offers a visual and narrative feast that puts the viewer inside a concert like never before.

38 years later, and this song still puts a lump in my throat and brings a tear to my eye
  • Unbelievable how Peter has kept the quality at the same level for decades.

I spent a decade in depression, felt like I didn't belong. This song was my savior.
  • I was 16 years old and in a terrible state of mind in my life and my very great friend, Brian played this song for me, when I was institutionalized in a mental hospital due to depression and trauma. To this day, I think of Brian when I hear this song! Thank you Peter and you Brian! I love you both ❤

"Gonna stand on that bridge....keep my EYES down below".... When Peter hit that falsetto note on "eyes", I was very impressed. It's the way the song was originally recorded, but he's aged a little since then!!! Well done, Mr. Gabriel. Both of them, plus the band, sound fantastic.
  • Close my eyes and I am 22 again, so beautiful, both their voices still are so good 🥰

You have always remained an integral part of my faith in humanity, Mr. Gabriel. I saw you in 1981 in Buffalo, NY for my 16th birthday for Security, in 2009 in Monterrey, MX and for my 57th birthday in Vancouver 2023 for I/O. Your message, your courage, your humanitarian efforts, your incredible music catalogue… sigh Thank you!
  • Don't give up, no I won't! Thank you for your music, for your lyrics and your emotions. ❤❤❤❤
  • This man has magic inside of him... The best musicians. The best technicians. The best inspirations. The best visions. He has a whole world within, a world he created along the years with his soul and heart and sincerity. Thank you Peter, for taking us along with you. Peter, je t'aime.

this brings back so many memories from the mid 1980s, my father lost his job and had to go from temp to temp to keep the family together. He later told me he thought of ending it as he felt he had no value. But as a family we came through it and he eventually found a job that he was proud of. This song tells me the story of that time, and although it brings a tear, it is also a message of hope.

Thankfully, Gabriel has never given up. Truly a remarkable performer.

I've been listening to this song for over 35 years... and never has it spoken to me as much as it does now! Thanks, Peter! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

A song that will always be timely. Makes me cry every time, so very sad. Incredible vocals here. I haven’t seen Peter live for a while, but he sounds great here. Has been in my top 5 since the early 80s as a solo artist. He never disappoints.
