Hello from England. Nice to see you again. No eclipse here, but yes, I agree the fear mongering got out of hand. Crazy really. One could wonder if we were back in the Dark Ages. Nuts, totally nuts. In one channel, the woman kept saying that she would not come out but stay indoors with her Bible. Yes, stock up some food but do not make it your life, survival mode 24/7 is crazy. On Catholic schooling - I will be 68 next month and I went to nun school from 3rd to 6th grade, I hated it, everything was a guilt trip and a God you had to fear! I would go home after school full of fear, uncertainties. When I finished 6th grade I told them at home if you put me back with the nuns I will run away, and they knew I meant it. That was that, never again, was sent to a non-religious school. 👋🙂

there waa no fear mongering in my circle and i had not heard anything negative. the only thing is in islam we do a brief (5 min) special kind of prayer during the eclipse to praise God
