  • As the father of this youtuber, and as a physician, I am learning about "kiss 'em on the lips" service. I wonder if I can provide that in my practice! I might hear from the authorities!
  • @lostboiiz
I would add to the Ethiopian conversation that Ethiopia is the birth place of coffee, and is a huge part of the culture. The reason Italy is so associated with coffee is that they tried SO HARD to colonize Ethiopia, but instead they just kinda got a cultural exchange where Italy got coffee and Ethiopia got pasta πŸ˜‚
  • β€œI can’t sell them anyway cuz they’re bloody…” pure Caroline poetry.

When I was a kid, my whole class was learning how to cut with scissors and I was terrible at it, so the teacher assigned me a special teacher to spend more time with me to learn the way of the scissor. My special scissor teacher noticed that I was left handed forced to use a right handed scissor. They got me a left handed scissor, stepped back, and watched me as I cut my little heart out. πŸ˜‹ βœ‚οΈ I still sucked! I suck to this day! Dont ask me to cut anything with scissors. πŸ˜’

I vote that this style of video becomes a series on this channel. DC has so many amazing coffee shops, bars, restaurants, etc. - it gives you an excuse to leave the house and us an excuse to watch you judge more things. Everyone would be happy. (Also, as someone who's from DC originally and comes back every year to see friends and family, I selfishly want to see what's considered cool and quality now around town.)

β€œI am a seasoned judger” I felt that deeply. πŸ˜‚
  • I'm half Filipina, and that purple at the top of your latte is called "ube"! It's a purple yam that's commonly eaten in Filipino desserts. Ube ice cream is insanely delicious and will make your mouth demon-coloured, but it's worth it
  • @LawnOrnament
You saying β€œthat’ll do donkey” with Justin there has just made me realize he sort of looks like when that potion turned Shrek beautiful in shrek 2🀣🀣
  • @lydiacarns
You know it's going to be good when Caroline gets her pointer out.
  • @kategamgee
Im just so happy the pointer is back. And in the car, extra fun!
  • @laceyh
Enthusiastically odering what they tell you about immediately despite not knowing what it is and just accepting the wrong cake in a coffee shop that made you feel like an idiot is extremely relatable content.
  • You forgot one criteria: do they have tons of outlets? (for those of us who need the peer pressure of a coffee shop to get stuff done!)
  • @kkkool
Okay but that blue and white dress!!! Chefs kiss
  • @hollyjolly90
β€œNew day new bandaids” πŸ˜‚ I just love seeing the relationship between you and Justin! You can tell the way he looks at you how captivated he is by you. As a NOVA resident I really appreciate this coffee shop review!! Your content is always fire. Love you so much- you always make me laugh!
  • @janinem5196
I love the irony of you attempting, and initially failing, to get to a place called Any Day Now
  • @Steeglitz
Caroline! I live near DuPont and, as a seasoned barista, I absolutely must recommend DUA DC. It's a women-owned Indonesia coffee shop by McPherson Square, has IMMACULATE vibes, the nicest staff I've ever encountered, high quality coffee, gorgeous interior (the MUGS), fantastic treats, and the people watching is 10/10. Plus there's window seating so you can people watch those walking by as well as those coming in! I don't think I've used their bathroom though so you'll have to check that out when you go lol
  • @CG-lf8st
Ethiopia is where the coffee plant originated! Specifically the arabica coffee bean, which is a smoother milder blend versus the other species of coffee, Robusta. Ethiopian coffee is special because it's coffee grown in its natural environment and is also a precious and historical industry to the Ethiopians.
  • @lose999
Ooo...Justin is SO cute! What a great voice! This grandma finds him very charming.
