Nobody should feel sympathy for Frank. "I did it before, don't want to do it now, I won't do it, I will do it, nah I don't think I will do it" Like make up your mind. Working in the criminal underworld in the first place caused the whole issue and then when he quit and was asked to start again he didn't make up his mind. The guy also didn't take all the money he got from his shop and former life in the criminal world and move away from the criminal element to protect his family. If a criminal on the level of Leo asks you something like this, you're already in trouble no matter what the answer is. Say yes and you'll either be pulled back into crime or be killed after the job so there's no witnesses or say no and this is the outcome if you're not going to smoke the criminal leader and his 2nd and command.

So from the start this drug lord could've just had his right hand man kidnap the guy that killed his daughter. The drug lord has so many hitters in his operation that he decided against them as his first choice because he wanted to hire a sniper? Instead of just sending his countless murderers for free? Not only that but his men tortured the guy which is what you would expect from a ruthless drug lord instead of a quick death that the sniper was going to do...

Here's my thots: I think we can never understand why, what, and consequential thoughts may arise after a "cut and dry scene"- where "an enemy so-called 'n family" are eliminated. Let my reaction be understood as simply an "opinion" not even as an assumption. Some may not consider killing as necessarily a job nothing as a guilt, others may not. But ALL have a choice despite the consequences. Each have responsibility to deal with it. J. your critique, if I may, waver on both sides because it's not clear and at best vague. A bit shallow, and maybe clueless, hence confusing 😕. Again this is an opinion based on what you wrote. Unfortunately many action films are created as a means to produce just what most people consider entertainment. Voila
