How does Aemond die in the books of house of the dragon? Who killed Aemond in the books of house of the dragon? Caraxes squeezed Vhagar's neck even harder, his teeth digging deeper as Vhagar fought back. Her own fangs tore into Caraxes's wing, while her claws ripped a bloody gash in his belly. Finally, Prince Daemon jumped from his dragon to Vhagar's back. He ripped the helmet off Aemond's head and then he… But before we get there, let’s look at events surrounding Aemond’s birth. Heavy spoilers ahead so take care and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Prince Aemond Targaryen, also known as Aemond One-Eye and later as Aemond the Kinslayer, was a member of House Targaryen. He was the second son of King Viserys I Targaryen from his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower, and the younger brother of King Aegon II Targaryen. Like his siblings, Aemond was a dragonrider and rode the dragon Vhagar.

In the TV show House of the Dragon, Aemond is played by Ewan Mitchell as an adult and by Leo Ashton as a young Aemond.

At birth, Aemond was said to be only half the size of his older brother, Aegon, but he was twice as fierce. When he was ten years old, Aemond lost his right eye during a fight with his nephew, Lucerys Velaryon. After that, Aemond started wearing a sapphire in place of his missing eye. Sometimes, he also wore an eye patch over his sapphire eye, like when he was in the Round Hall of Storm’s End with Borros Baratheon’s wife and daughters.

It's getting tougher and tougher to navigate social media staying away from the spoilers damn! Life's tough on us non book readers we just wanted to enjoy a good show in peace 😅
  • In the books they meet and they talk shit to each other. Aemond says something like "You've lived too long" or "You've lived long enough, Uncle". And Daemond says "On that, we agree" then they both mount their dragons and swoop up to the sky to fight. What's important is what Daemond does when he gets on his dragon. He basically does not use his seat belt but Aemond does and that's what gets up. Damond does leap from his dragon to Aemonds, he does drive a huge blade into Aemonds one good eye, killing him instantly, and then they both fall to their deaths. I'm sure they'll change it in the books for no damn reason.

Too many “like and subscribe” comments in between. I am 4 min in and already fed up.
  • He's battling Daemond on dragonback when Daemon leaps off his dragon, lands on top of Aemond, and drives his sword through Aemond's good eye. They both fall and Daemon's body is never found. I can never get over how rotten Alicent's first two sons turn out, even though Aegon does sound being kind to the smallfolk when they seek his help. Aegon is conflicted, but Aemond is pure eveil.
  • Wow!I can’t wait to see this! 😃👏👏👏👏👏👏
  • Man I am glad I don't live in the time of kings and queens. Geeze, if I got chance to grow up with uncle/aunt/cousins, I would love them like they were my brothers and sisters. That sounds gross when I write it down 😂😂

You can tell the Targaryens are based on ancient Egyptian Pharaohs from the interbreeding to the wives (I know it’s not wives here) fighting to get their son on the throne next. In fact you could include the Kings of medieval Europe too as they kept it in the family (cousins) and there was the House Of Habsburg that’s famous for it’s inbreeding
