new book, new vid here we go.

Howdy y'all! My name's Riddle, and I'm here with Sunnyfall today to talk about the Warriors fandom and how she herself fits into it! We discuss a broad series of topics, such as Sunny's introduction to the creator scene, what her processes are in creating videos, and general musings over different aspects of the series at large.

P.S. Go wish Sunny a happy birthday!

I hope y'all enjoy the conversation and have a wonderful week!

Thank you so much for inviting me! This was a blast.
  • About the fire scene in long shadows- when I first read it, I assumed Squilf was lying, saying whatever she thought would get Ashfur to stop

Loving these interviews!! It's always nice to hear someone talking off script, and truthfully just talk about things they love! I remember getting recommend to Sunnyfall by one of Moonkitti's post, and I was in love with the depth that she's willing to go into her video! Loved listening to this and it was a great thing to have playing while I was working! Also a lot more focused, so great improvement on your part!

omg after listening to this video, i thought you must have at least 10000 subs but no??? you're so underrated!
  • Gray wing's death also made me very sad! I really cried and I am also not one to cry when reading much but that one hit me in just the right way I love it. I had to put the book down and wipe my tears for that one.

This video and Sunnyfall's thunder video inspired me to finally get off my lazy bum and read DOTC... Thank you. I'm very glad and happy about this and still after all of this still have a heartfelt bond to that series... even more than TPB but yeah... a shame that theres barely any promotion of it online and I was pleasantly surprised, I'm super salty about that fact...

Question about future interviews: Must they be YouTubers? If not, I propose you reach out to Grey of Ailuromnity and Sparrow of Sparrowminder, both Tumblr blogs. I recommend them for two often-shoved-aside perspectives: the former being the one to standardize what Traditional Naming is (something most fans get wrong, Treetail wouldn't be allowed and contrary to popular belief, Jayfrost could be under the right circumstances), and the latter being a proponent for higher realism in Warriors storytelling (and also knows a bit about Traditional Naming). Both are respectable folk; they (and the vast majority of their followers and fellow enjoyers of realism and traditional naming) won't shove their preferences down your throat and bully you for having a dark brown cat with gray patches and blue eyes named Splotchymud. It may be harder to get Grey to come on since he's announced he's retiring from his blog, but Sparrow is still active and is actually making a video about common misconceptions about cat genetics. I ask this because these corners of the fandom are often lambasted and misunderstood. They're already mocked and belittled by the big-shot YouTubers for the dumb teenagers doing 95% the stupid stuff, but I assure you, the dumb teenagers aren't all of them, and there's something interesting that could come from reshaping the world of Warriors into something more grounded and with worldbuilding in the names.

This was an awesome video!!! I enjoy hearing yall chatting, I think you're super underrated, Riddle!
  • Just wanted to say, yes warriors is a money maker/cash grab, but the last book of the broken code was fantastic, and I think is a top 10 book in the series.
