The Chinese Chengdu Aircraft Corporation was building an upgraded version of this jet named the J-7, right up to 2013, with the PLAAF finally retiring their fleet of J-7's last year (2023). Mikoyan - Gurevich certainly designed some very good aircraft indeed! I wonder how many of the Chinese "retired" J-7's will end up in private ownership? Since the aircraft is such an iconic design, problably quite a few!

That missile shot picture is of a Sukoi-52. Mikoyan has not come up with a new design for thirty years. The Mig-31 is an upgraded Mig-25 Foxbat mach 3 interceptor upgraded to carry the Kinzhal and maybe FAB bombs. Dogfighting is a thing of the past and the Mig-25, -31, are not dogfighters.
