I would argue Far Cry Primal is still fondly remembered more than Far Cry New Dawn.

For me as an anthropology major Far Cry Primal is absolutely the first thing I think of when I think of Far Cry, it’s so interesting in that context since Ubisoft went and made an actual functional plausible Proto-European language with actual, professional and phd trained Linguistic Anthropologists

No joke, Far Cry Primal is one of my favorite games. I still go back to it pretty regularly for a playthrough. It's just so immersive, the setting is so unique, and I love the characters and story. It feels so different from other Far Cry games and I enjoy that. Also they created an entire language for the game, which is some cool dedication.

Far Cry primal is so underrated and it's definitely more talked about and more fondly remembered than new dawn

“It’s so dramatically and drastically different from any far cry experiences” that’s why it’s the 🐐 of far cry games.

The Urbz gba game was weirdly compelling as a rural kid, getting to explore "city life." Like the inverse of people that live in the big city finding refuge in Stardew Valley

Primal was dope. I never played 4 so had no idea it was the same map.

Primal and Blood Dragon were the first games Ubi ever made that were “different”. They were honestly so good. It’s honestly sad Ubi gave up on doing things “different” and well.

What world are you living in where the Persona Q games and Catherine are forgotten
  • @GmNdWtchr96
Fun Fact: The Dead Souls versions of Kiryu and Majima made a playable appearance in Project X Zone 2.

Scott actually used to make games like fnaf world before fnaf so he does know how to make games like that but those were the games that didn’t take off

i'd say that the urbz is far from forgotten. most people in the sims community know about it, even EA/maxis remembers it. the same can be said for all of the spin-off games. it probably didn't get a sequel specifically because it was a spin-off and it was only on consoles, no console sims game has gotten a sequel. i don't think EA was really interested in pushing for sequels for the non-mainline sims games. at least sims medieval got a dlc tho

Damn Dead Space Extraction, Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles and adding House of the Dead Overkill were all really good rail shooters, the Wii excelled at that.
  • @NicxCoay
Some of these feel like games that aren't well known mainstream, but are well loved within their respective communities. I hear people clamoring for a new Sims Medieval or Urbz or Primal fairly often in those fandoms, just not much outside of them.

Here's another forgotten spin-off that rode the Pokemon go train Its a witcher mobile game that instead of capturing monsters you hunt them down and kill them
  • @StageRight123
I feel like a video similar to this, could be made for the Final Fantasy franchise. There's A LOT of random FF games out there.
  • @cfiber_inc
I remember there being another dead island spin off called dead island survivors it was pretty much like a clash of clans but zombies i don’t know if its still on the App Store
  • @aika1932
the briefly mentioned clank game for psp was a banger, that game was so good
  • Granted Yokai Watch is a rather forgotten Franchise…. But with that in Mind the Blasters mode is underrated as ALL HELL… Especially because the MUSIC IS FUCKING FIRE(especially the main menu theme)
