  • Just wanted to say THANK YOU very, very much for be willing to share your knowledge. I realize it must take quite a bit of time and effort to do so and I sincerely appreciate it for a few reasons. Not only do you provide me with some education in an extremely well done format that is very fun to watch, but you also have given me a great amount of inspiration. I am a 61 year old guy that just completed radiation treatment for throat cancer. throughout this ordeal I have been watching YouTube videos to keep my mind off the negative crap. (Yours are by far the best!) They are a great diversion and also gives me the inspiration to look forward to getting my butt back to life. And when I can afford it, I'm going to do just that. While I am up and out doing that, I will again be thanking you. Please keep up the great job/service.
  • Back when I lived in the Placerville area, I got into prospecting with a detector. My partner and I would get the topo maps from the USGS and find all the old gold mines from the gold rush days. 99.999% of the time, the old timers were following a gold bearing seam of quartz. When the seam ended, they'd move on and go dig another tunnel somewhere else. Getting in there with a detector, hitting the walls and ceiling and floor of the old mines, really paid off in a good way. A lot of times where they stopped, the seam would start back up again in a few inches or so. Two guys working on sledgehammers though could get back into that quartz. Milky white quartz, and a beautiful streak of color through it was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. Even better looking than my ex wife! And she was a hottie! Everyone thought so ;) Bob in Germany

3 things I liked the most in this video. Your Gold. Your Talent and mostly Your Mustache !!

This is where a vacuum would really come in handy. Remember, just because the metal detector doesn't detect anything doses't mean that there isn't a bunch of small gold in there. The vacuum can pull out stuff that's hard to get out with the other tools. This was a fantastic video showing the potential of both using a good metal detector and working the crevices. Really good teaching video. Thanks for sharing.
  • Perhaps the most instructive practical video I have viewed! Thanks so much! I wish I could meet you in person; you are a great guy! Congrats on your great finds of this hunt! Bless you and even more gold luck in your hunting!
  • Hey Two Toes! Wanted to thank you for the timely method of searching for nuggets with a detector. My dad an I have saved HOURS doing this method instead of panning. We haven’t found any gold yet, but have found some old (probably not worth anything) items that got us just as excited. Keep up the awesome videos, and get yourself an Instagram!!!
  • I just read in the comments below talking about using headphones while detecting and how it can make you ignore some of the dangers of the wildlife. Here in Arizona I've run across a lot of rattlesnakes, the best investment I've ever made in my life was $150 for a pair of full snake boots. Everyone have fun but keep aware of your surroundings out there.
  • I just watched this for the second time and I can tell you it's worth seeing again. Gary has so much knowledge that I can always learn something new.
  • this technique really helps understanding where and how to find gold.. most people hit "inside bends", follow traditional rules for it, but doing it this way, it teaches you the "high pressure" zones also.. it absolutely blew my mind figuring this out.. where I believe (if in a narrow valley) the gold gets pressure packed into the crevices on spots you'd never think following traditional rules.. cheers mate.. wish I could send you my finds.. infact I can confidently say.. if a person who has NO experience finding gold and watches your channel... gaurenteed if they soak in the info... THEY WILL FIND GOLD! No matter what country.. ! cheers mate !
  • Hey Gary, Well your recommendation to dig every target has rewarded a buddy of mine down here in So Cal. It took me a couple months to get him start watching your channel, but he finally did. And he started going by the advice you give..dig every target..well he dug up a hot rock that was reading iron on his detector. It was about a foot under the sand in one of our favorite little creeks..a thirteen pound meteorite! It's off to be analyzed by a reputable scientist. I'll try to get him to send you some pics when he gets it back. Thanks for all you do to inspire us man!
  • Great day Gary. I enjoy watching you hunt because you're always teaching along the way. Thanks for sharing your time and expertise.
  • This is an excellent instructional video! You cover many important details to make nugget shooting as successful as possible. I really enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the expert teaching. Thank You, Sir!
  • I want to thank you for sharing your experience and expertise. I procpected with my grandfather when I was a kid. I'm 70, but in good shape. Want to do this bad. Didn't pay attention as a kid,but I'll tell you, your great! You didn't have to do this, but so glad you did. Again, thanks
  • I'm sure you already know this but you are an excellent teacher, a real natural. I just started getting into this and have been watching everyone's videos and yours are the best. Thanks!
  • Finding gold, and seeing others find gold never gets old. I still get out sometimes with my 20 year old White's Gold Master 4B, which is still in very good shape after all these years. I've got a few new areas I'm fixing to get out and prospect. Your videos have rekindled my gold fever! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, techniques and finds. Cheers from Washington!
  • Thanks for taking the time to explain in ways that even newbies will understand. It certainly makes people want to get out there and explore for the gold. Have safe travels, but watch out for snakes and spiders in the cracks and rocks.
  • Man, I don't know how people can dislike this video! You got some good gold. Very helpful about the angle of the detector, too. Thanks

Mr two toes, THANK YOU. I love outdoors and all activities that go with it with a passion and gold panning is one of them but I just know the very basics. I still have a lot to learn but this here is, if not the most, at least one of most entertaining and most informative videos that I have watched since YouTube was invented. And yes, I’m that old. I’m subscribed to many channels in different topics but for some reason I never click the notifications button this is gonna be the ONLY exemption. I sincerely THANK YOU and keep the videos coming. I’m gonna subscribe, like, share the video and click the notifications button right away.
  • I think I've gone through and watched every video on prospecting you have! The knowledge you have accrued and distilled into these videos is invaluable! Keep it up mate - this is the most underrated prospecting channel on Youtube - Fan from Aussie.
  • Two Toes, it's clear from looking at your hands and listening to you teach that you work hard and smart.
