Finland has done a fantastic job defending itself and deterring Russia/USSR since WW2. However, Finland doesn’t have nuclear weapons. NATO solves that imbalance.

One of Poland’s most effective Armored vehicles (Rosomak) originates from Finish-military industry. Finland is not to be underestimated. Welcome Finland!

For the record: the outgoing pm of Finland was pretty lukewarm ti the idea of NATO membership-until Russia invaded Ukraine. The party that is going to be selecting the next pm is even more pro NATO. Finland was not forced or coerced into this-they voluntarily joined to have the added layer of security against Russia.

This is exactly what Russia didn't want the most, but it has happened, and it is a great victory for Finland and for the whole world

Good news. If Turkey had a better leader, two nations would be joining at the same time sending an even bigger message. Looking forward to the news of Sweden joining soon now.

0:00 Just wondering, do they unplug and rearrange all 30+ exisiting flags & poles whenever a new member joins the alliance so that they're all equidistant and in alphabetical order? or do they just leaves gaps for other European countries already incase they may decide to join in the future?
