  • part of having daddy issues that aren't sexualized/romanticized: being jealous of someone who has a good, healthy, and close relationship with their dad
  • Most fathers broke their daughters heart before any guy could.
  • "Cheated on your mom but she never left him" It tore me apart cuz of how true it is in my case:(
  • This song means so much to me. My dad broke my heart and disappointed me before any boy could.
  • Ppl rlly be like: “you act so mature for your age” nah I just went through adult shit as a kid
  • @Vivster-
This is one of those songs that feel like the singer is talking specifically to you, calling out every inch of your trauma to the point where you can't help but love the song.
  • Sometimes, I just like to turn the lights off until its completely dark, pop in my sound blocking earphones, then just listen to the song with my eyes closed. It hits different.
  • “daddy stuck around but he wasnt present” sounds familiar:(
  • EVERYONE WHO HAD A BAD CHILDHOOD, I'M HUGGING YOU RIGHT NOW.
  • This hits when you have a father who's not present emotionally but physically, but you would rather have him there mentally then physically.
  • “daddy stuck around but he wasn’t present” makes me tear up every time
  • "but he's still your dad !" yes thats the entire fucking problem
  • "Respect your elder" the elders need to learn that respect goes both ways.
  • @ceces0los
“go ahead cry little girl” hits me so hard because my dad was never present
  • If I’m being honest, I can relate to this song a lot. My mom got cheated on by my father and stuck with him for the sake of my younger sister and I. I was only 6 when my younger sister was born and at that time I already had to mature for the sake of my sister and so I could help my mom out. I’m honestly glad someone makes a song and thinks of people going through this. Whoever relates to this song, just know that we got through this and this just makes us stronger! 🫶🏻

"I could see it on your face it was rough, left a bad taste on your tongue" hits different

‘When you told me the whole story I felt like throwing up’ You would if you knew may we all heal from the things we don’t talk about.
