  • A lot of good info to chew through here… What did we learn? Heh, some cars have marked improvements with graphite, and some don’t. The key here is to determine which ones to dust and which to ignore. I would say that in cases where you have the metal on metal cars with good mass… definitely worth the time. Some of the lighter mainlines, not so much unless they were competitive out of the box. I think you’ll find that the fast lighter cars that slow down after dust may have had some residual manufacturing oil on the axles, which usually slow down when the dust mixes with it. You can sometimes tell when they freewheel really smooth at first and then slow down after. Either way, it’s a hit or miss process. I think the white track is a little narrower than the orange. Maybe you could put some calipers on both to see. But it would definitely give advantage to narrower cars like the Chevy Stocker. Some wider casts may get pinched. With that being said, I look forward to seeing the Mirada hit turbo mode… Thankyou for the props, Michael!

It goes to show , so many different cars , with different wheels. It’s a lot of work, but fun and very cool 😎.

This is a very nice tutorial. Graphite really helps. I'm not sure why graphite wasn't effective on some of the cars. Maybe they need a few more runs to let the graphite set it in. Great job by the Chevy stocker!!
  • Maybe we should start handling Hot Wheels cars like Johnny Lightning cars. Folks like Bobby D. and Elevation die cast for example take care of their JL’s in such a way as to get the most speed and consistency out of them. Figuring out what works and what to avoid sounds like a great plan to me

Great first experiment! Now you opened the "can of worms". Lots of trial and errors to go from there. Sometimes redust helps, other graphites or other lubes may help, and lots and lots of time, testing, and failures as you can see on all the other channels setting up cases....easy at first, really hard later in the game. Have fun and good luck!
  • Hi, Brutal demostration, I wonder where can we get a similar Drag Race timer of the white Track. Greetings

I like the comparison but out of the hundreds of cars I have added graphite to, I bet less than 5 have went slower. What type of graphite are you using and how are you applying it? You ought to be seeing a lot better results in my opinion. Keep working Michael let me know if I can help.

How much work! It is curious the way graphite behaves depending on cars. I've read some comments and there are several responses to that in it. The video is very instructive. Doing the exercise of putting graphite on everyone, fast and slow, helps to understand something (but, as you say in the video, it's better not to repeat it, too much time!). Now I wonder how the weight of the cars affects: seeing them ordered from fastest to slowest, it gives me the feeling that the heavier ones are not always faster. I didn't know the white tracks were narrower. Thank you very much for the video!!!!
  • Did you use a white tube with extremely black powdery type graphite? As for the track, being narrower than standard orange, could be hindering results.....love that track tho, im still searching lol.... Really nice to see the 1/4 mile up and running....
  • @MrREDPILLhimself
The times should have improved a lot more than they did. Im guessing you used the wrong graphite. It also almost never slows cars down when you use good graphite.
  • @dennistaylor7831
Great comparison now You have to figure out which ones like the graphite and which ones don’t then you have to find out which graphite works best on which cars a whole can of worms opened up🤪
  • Great video. The knowledge here is game changing. You got me wondering about stuff. What brand of graphite works best? Does the graphite make the car more consistent. Question’s worth answering.
  • I dont know if our father ask you about the Drag Race Timer (Sorry) , but my bother and I are wondering about that and if you sale stuff, for example the 180 Curves (Double) . We are looking and looking but nothing
