What would ACTUALLY happen if we were to take Batman, The Dark Knight, and pit him against the rouges belonging to Spider-Man? Could he exploit the elemental weaknesses of Sandman or Electro, outsmart Doc Ock, wrangle in the Lizard, defeat Green Goblin or survive Venom and Carnage? In this video I break down the feats, lore, and scaling of the main comic book Batman and analyze Spider-Man's adversaries one by one to provide the definitive answer.

Batman is a superhero in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and debuted in the 27th issue of the comic book Detective Comics on March 30, 1939. In the DC Universe continuity, Batman is the alias of Bruce Wayne, a wealthy American playboy, philanthropist, and industrialist who resides in Gotham City. Batman's origin story features him swearing vengeance against criminals after witnessing the murder of his parents Thomas and Martha as a child, a vendetta tempered with the ideal of justice. He trains himself physically and intellectually, crafts a bat-inspired persona and monitors the Gotham streets at night. Kane, Finger, and other creators accompanied Batman with supporting characters, including his sidekicks Robin and Batgirl; allies Alfred Pennyworth James Gordon, and love interest Catwoman; and foes such as the Penguin, the Riddler, Two-Face, and his archenemy, the Joker.

DC has featured Batman in many comic books, including comics published under its imprints such as Vertigo and Black Label. The longest-running Batman comic, Detective Comics, is the longest-running comic book in the United States. Batman is frequently depicted alongside other DC superheroes, such as Superman and Wonder Woman, as a member of organizations such as the Justice League and the Outsiders. In addition to Bruce Wayne, other characters have taken on the Batman persona on different occasions, such as Jean-Paul Valley / Azrael in the 1993–1994 "Knightfall" story arc; Dick Grayson, the first Robin, from 2009 to 2011; and Jace Fox, son of Wayne's ally Lucius, as of 2021. DC has also published comics featuring alternate versions of Batman, including the incarnation seen in The Dark Knight Returns and its successors, the incarnation from the Flashpoint (2011) event, and numerous interpretations from Elseworlds stories.

One of the most iconic characters in popular culture, Batman has been listed among the greatest comic book superheroes and fictional characters ever created. He is one of the most commercially successful superheroes, and his likeness has been licensed and featured in various media and merchandise sold around the world; this includes toy lines such as Lego Batman and video games like the Batman: Arkham series. Batman has been adapted in live-action and animated incarnations, including the 1960s Batman television series played by Adam West and in film by Michael Keaton in Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), and The Flash (2023), Val Kilmer in Batman Forever (1995), George Clooney in Batman & Robin (1997), Christian Bale in The Dark Knight trilogy (2005–2012), Ben Affleck in the DC Extended Universe (2016–2023), and Robert Pattinson in The Batman (2022). Many actors, most prolifically Kevin Conroy, have provided the character's voice in animation and video games.

Spider-Man is a superhero in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. He has been featured in comic books, television shows, films, video games, novels, and plays.

Spider-Man's secret identity is Peter Benjamin Parker. Initially, Peter was depicted as a teenage high-school student and an orphan raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City after his parents, Richard and Mary Parker, died in a plane crash. Lee, Ditko, and later creators had the character deal with the struggles of adolescence and young adulthood and gave him many supporting characters, such as Flash Thompson, J. Jonah Jameson, and Harry Osborn; romantic interests Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson, and the Black Cat; and enemies such as Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, and Venom. In his origin story, Spider-Man gets his superhuman spider powers and abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. These powers include superhuman strength, agility, reflexes, stamina, durability, coordination, and balance; clinging to surfaces and ceilings like a spider; and detecting danger with his precognition ability called "spider-sense". He builds wrist-mounted "web-shooter" devices that shoot artificial spider-webs of his own design, which he uses both for fighting and web-swinging across the city. Peter Parker Initially used his powers for his personal gain.

Still plenty of villains left if you want a Part 2! How would Batman deal with Scorpion, Kraven, Morlun? Let me know what you think.
  • Norman Osborne is basically Bruce Wayne and Green Goblin is just Super soldier Joker 💀
  • @BlazerK1914
Green Goblin: “I will squash you like a bug.” Batman: “Just shut up and fight.”
  • @ares7701
Batman vs Kraven admittedly would be an incredibly badass fight.

Surprising amount of Daredevil Ws in this video, but a welcome surprise indeed.
  • If other street tiers are able to hold their own against Peter's rogues gallery than I don't see why Bruce couldn't.
  • @ArachnidYouth
Spider-Man. Batman. 🤝 Both being able to easily Dogwalk each others villains
  • @ReaperBlaze76
It says so much how many of these were "Batman can win if he uses this one gadget/tool he used once in one issue like 10 years ago"
  • @Raii_Chu
TIL Batman wins by using plot-grenades
  • I kinda want to see spider man take on Batman villains. What about an power tier list for video games spider men
  • @thatguy779
I don’t think there’s a rogues gallery he couldn’t prep for unless you specifically hamper his resources/knowledge.
  • @drillyyy299
if these are random encounters he stops at Lizard, who’s speed and strength somewhat match Peter’s which are LEVELS ahead of Batman’s. Also, his weakness to “cold” is more of a mental thing rather than physically, having feats of him shrugging such tactics off.
  • @fondedan4078
Yeah, when one of the points is surviving against Darkseid, you can accept he can hold his own against many villains if not just bet them.
  • @Unlexian
Its kinda missleading to show panels from years ago as examples for the characters weaknesses. This isnt a problem for most of them but the symbiotes or venom and carnage atleast arent as succeptible to fire or sound as they used to be. I believe even eddies son who at the time had a venom symbiote had to walk through fire to save his dad and was fine although that might have been a different symbiote and im just missremembering.

For people thinking Batman is fodder and can't hang with Spiderman or his villains are literally absurd they really think hes just peak human as in just a human its crazy honestly
