Kings in the Corner

NOTES
========
- This video was created back in 2003, for FILM 118 class in the spring semester at Lansing Community College, with instructor Jeff Hamlin.

- It was released just a few weeks before "The Blue Face Film Strips," and became foundational to the Mutt Mackley Universe in Dozerfleet Terraverse continuity, and to Dozerfleet Studios specifically.

(Terraverse = including works not original or exclusive to Dozerfleet, or capable of crossing over into the Abrujanian Continuity Family.
Gigaverse = Works that may crossover into the Abrujanian Continuity Family.
Megaverse = Works that are explicitly part of the Abrujanian Continuity Family.
Multiverse = a sub-family of continuities, such as Gerosha timelines.
Universe = one specific continuity timeline, such as Cataclysmic Gerosha.)

- While it may seem very primitive by today's standards, it was foundational for its time to Dozerfleet.

- The DozerfleetTV logo watermark is because in 2007, Dozerfleet Studios was known as DozerfleetTV.

- "3-13" refers to a form of rummy, which Hooper tricks Gambino Penguin into playing.

- In 2010, Gambino Penguin (played by Ty Beanie Babies' Waddle) featured in a City of Farmington Hills government access television ad (promoting its Facebook page.) He was briefly renamed "Penguin Dude," because the production coordinator for the local cable commission thought his official Dozerfleet name was "racist," but couldn't exactly specify how a penguin with a Sicilian name could be so.

- In spite being foundational to the Mackleyverse, this video doesn't feature Mutt Mackley himself at all.

- The toy portraying Officer Hornet in this early video is actually a He-Man series Buzz-Off action figure.

- Detective Hooper was originally a prize won at Michigan's Adventure Theme Park.

- The soundtrack used here, "Dirt Rhodes," was added due to legal necessity. The original release for Hamlin's class featured Larry Carlton's "Fingerprints" - which "Dirt Rhodes" was chosen to replace due to sufficient similarity amidst a royalty-free nature.

For best results, acquire a legal copy of "Fingerprints," mute the audio on this video, and play that song while watching this video, to get something similar to the original FILM 118 class experience. (The song "Fingerprints," all by itself, makes this video sound tenfold more badass than it does now!)

- A bunkbed was turned into a dark alley for this scene. It took about 3 hours to complete all the shots.

- The original video showed a clock at various points, to show passage of time. This was since edited out, as it makes no sense with the main video, and was only necessary for the assignment back then.

- "Kings in the Corner" was first edited in Adobe Premiere 6.0 for Mac. It was later re-edited using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. This current version was edited with Adobe Premiere Elements 2020.
