It's notable that thousands of clips from "The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson" are ten thousand times better than just about anything on any talk shows during the last twenty-five years. No one has done it better than Johnny Carson.

True comedic talent. Never be another duo like them. Those days were ours! So glad we can relive this thru youtube. Thanks so much

Ah the nostalgia!!!! I love the memory of falling asleep hearing Johnny Carson every night! My dad loved watching him - I still have my dad and I am grateful!
  • Watching reruns of Carson is like rewatching part of my life through the years. (I'm 65 now)

Two of the greatest actors of all time. Sadly they are both gone now, and the quality of movies will never be the same.
  • Lemmon and Mathau. Absolute gold. Walter was always so brilliant and Jack so lovable.

  • Jack and Walter were such a great team. So funny but also very accomplished actors in their own right.

What a great friendship. Only true friends can give each other the gears like that. Beautiful to watch.
  • I used to watch this as a teenager in the seventies. It was great seeing guests you love and Johnny making everyone laugh. In the eighties It became a favorite part of my night routine to watch this wonderful show. An American experience.

Watching JC I get completely lost in his conversations. He's so respectful, gracious and comedic that ya can't help but be enthralled. When he retired from the show, you knew that his shoes could never be filled.
  • Before television became hate and indoctrination. A magical time...From, an old school Army Veteran.🇺🇸

Walter was one of those guys who seemed to be born 55 years old. RIP to all of these legends.
  • Those were the days, we will never see anything like them again! 🌼 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Walter Matthau and Jack lemmon are two of the most brilliant and iconic actors and Jack lemmon is a great director and they are so good friends and to be in so many movies together they absolutely make the movie so much better because they are so good friends and that is what makes great movies I wish we had more movies and actors that were friends like them today because no one can ever beat their comedy or anything if they do ever again God rest in peace all of them
  • I absolutely loved Jack as Ensign Pulver , when he blows up the laundry room and throws Cagney's stinking palm tree overboard are classic. I miss him, Walter, and Johnny so much, true greats of their time. Walter always looked like a loveable wrinkled Bassett Hound that you couldn't trust, yet he had his own code of honor. My favorite grumpy old men ever. As a caregiver, I deal with them everyday.
