BOAT RAGE IN THE CANAL! Memorial Day Weekend in the Point Pleasant Canal - Jersey Rapids madness

If you are familiar with this area and boating, you probably know how nasty the canal can get on the weekends. Between the ripping tide and heavy boat traffic, there will be madness.

This boat probably needed a litttttle more speed!

with all the outboard issues I have over the years, I cannot imagine maintaining 4 outboards on one boat lol

I grew up in Pt Pleasant. Underneath that RT 88 bridge is the best fishing spot in that canal.

They say some people should not have children. I say some people should not have power boats. Former USCG.

My friend owns a condo right on the canal. I would love to be sitting in his yard with a drink watching the action right now!!

Great video! Thank you for emphasizing what a great place this is not! It seems that every boater here needs to take a class in what "NO-WAKE" really means. It just goes to show once again that just because you can afford to buy it doesn't mean that you're smart enough to operate it!

I ran that canal several times a week. The weekend small boats were a pain. I would use my horn to signal what side I was going to overtake on. 99% had no clue. I would come up on the loud speaker and tell them to get out of the way.
  • Good Morning Fellow Boating Enthusiasts, Friends, And Supporters Of The World Famous Shore Boating Channel: Thank you gentlemen for answering my request for some Point Pleasant Cannal Action. You video clearly captures the ever changing water and vessel traffic conditions in real time. Your video clearly denotes the attitudes of vessels how they can handle some of these rough water conditions minius the human load factor. Didn't see too much inforcement by the NJSP. I guess they met their monthly quota for written infractions as well as their harassment criteria. Guys another wonderful Action packed video that in my eyes didn't disappoint. God Bless + my best to you and your families. TMP from N.J. 🙏 😊😊😊. factor

I don't even enjoy going on a boat but I could watch them all day! Thanks for posting!
  • That current is running 10-15 mph right in your face….or pushing your rear out from under you. Fun fun

It seems like this canal is always choppy or is it poor captain skills?

Can only imagine the maintenance required for the seawalls.

That parker sure did ride good through those waves

Doing a handstand in such dangerous choppy water could result to neck injury from one hard water hit I would think
