13:02 "it's a gun that i've been personaly kissed by" ... that was an esplosive kiss indeed
  • It only took one "scope kiss" to teach my son to listen when I tell him to properly shoulder and hold his weapon. He fired, looked at me with a little blood coming from his eye and I was like, "got scoped didn't ya" he said "yes sir" and we laughed. He was 15. ahh memories..
  • That personal kiss.. was nearly a kiss of death Scott... So glad that you're still with us to provide this wonderful content
  • Imagine Scott trying to do ASMR with gun handling. You’re listening with headphones to him whisper soothingly and you’re almost asleep when suddenly he starts screaming at a bug that just landed on the camera lens.

"So I don't feel like being scope kissed today" introduces Houston Jones as a volunteer 😂

"Scope kiss" is a rite of passage like touching the hot stove for the first time. 😂

I remember this happened to R. Lee Ermey on one of his shows. My dad also told me that it happened to my grandpa when my dad was spotting for him at the range. After a shot, he stopped replying to hit reports and my dad looked over to see my grandpa bleeding pretty heavily from his face and a bit ticked off
  • Long story ... Dad and I had almost identical Rem 700's, same scope, but different calibers. Mine was .243, his 7mm Mag. Last day of the hunt, on our way home and a nice little buck crossed in front of us. Dad told me, "Might as well fill your tag." I hopped out, picked up one of the two rifles between us, took careful aim across the hood and KABLAM. Wouldn't you know it I had picked up the 7mm. Blood running down my face, lens out of my glasses and Dad said, "You better hit it again, it's head is still up." I couldn't see out of my right eye at all, so I leaned across the stock and looked through the scope with my left. KABLAM wouldn't you know it, got kissed again right on the side of my left eye. Neither injury was serious, no stitches, but the double shiner made me look like a boxer that lost for a couple of weeks.

I love how he destroys Mr. Zombie every video at the end (at least those I've watched)🤣🤣 Love your acting in the front too lol
  • When I had my .500 Magnum, I only shot 2 other handguns before I got it. Thanks to your videos, I was able to prepare myself for shooting it. I loaded one round at a time until I got used to it, and I never hit myself with it, nor did I bumpfire it. I did have a swollen hand after about 60 rounds, but I didn't hit myself! 😂

Old coworker of mine bought a brand new .300 WM I believe, and a brand new scope. He was new to firearms and set it all up himself. Not thinking about the recoil of the .300. First shot on the range scoped himself and was bleeding down his face. He was in good spirits and couldn't stop laughing

Probably because the largest gun I've ever fired was a .22, but it never occurred to me just how dangerous simply looking through the scope too close could be. Glad it's here I learned and not on the range.
  • Well now this is a interesting video and a good lesson in what can happen if you don't have proper scope relief. I learned this with a 50 caliber black powder rifle. I had my scope too far back and the recoil hit me hard and blood started running down into my face. I learned a very valuable lesson from that incident and I never forgot it.

Almost everyone in my family has been scoped at least once. We consider them like a rite of passage. Never know when they'll happen, but they usually happen from really long-range shots or really young. And they all have either been done by either .308 or 30-06.
  • Have you ever been scope kissed? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
  • @user-xj3mo2lx9z
Probably one of the funniest openings youve done in awhile.

Unfortunately I can relate to this. Using a 12 gauge, Finochi round, got a bit loose on the hold, have a 5x co sight, hit me in the nose. Hurt a bit but thank God didn't break. Learned my lesson.
