Full Release Update Part 4 | Sons of The Forest

In this video of Sons of The Forest, I cover part 4 of the full release update v1.0
Due to the large amount of additions, changes, etc I am going to be delivering these videos in parts.

00:00 - Intro
00:12 - Added 2 new mutants; Legsy and Holey
00:51 - Added new stronger puffy variation ‘Spotty’
01:03 - Added higher tier gold armor level for enemies
01:09 - Heavy enemies can now wear armor & winter clothes, also their running now drains more energy
01:38 - Glowing Puffies now have more unique looking materials
01:47 - Fat enemy health increased from 140 to 170
01:54 - Humanoid head damage multiplier from sharp melee reduced from 2x to 1.5x
02:06 - Demon attack increased damage by 25% and increased Coop game health up to 30%
02:20 - Regular male enemies run & walk 20% faster and are 5% larger on average
02:28 - Creepy plating attack changed from 1 to 2 waves (each wave slightly smaller) It will also now include the new creepy mutant types
02:40 - Puffy attacks have increased speed
02:49 - GPS screen now more accurately reflects the world, showing cliffs, paths and clearings
02:57 - Re-worked look of bunker icons on GPS to be distinct & made cave icons smaller
03:12 - The GPS Tracker will now remember the current zoom level when re-equipping it
03:22 - Added an area light to the screen of the held GPS tracker to give it some glow
03:33 - Optimized all colliders & improved textures in inventory to speed up how long it takes for items to appear when inventory is opened
03:59 - Cloth in inventory now has a stack of five that will fill up
04:22 - Items can now be batch added and removed from the mat in inventory by holding the button down
04:38 - Improved the interaction and animation of throwing items from the grab bag & button can now be held to continue throwing items from there
05:01 - Added watch pile on the crafting mat
05:13 - You can now carry 20 Solafite
05:24 - All items in the inventory now have hover animations
05:31 - Some item counts in inventory have been reduced to match their visuals in the inventory and to encourage using storage
06:13 - The player downed time before respawning has been greatly reduced. Also sped up the skull animation to give more sense of urgency
06:55 - Added proximity voice chat with filters for in caves & underwater along with adding additional filtering to the walkie talkie
07:14 - Other players names are now hidden when riding in the golf cart and whilst a player is crouching
07:24 - Added pause menu icon over players in multiplayer ( appears as a cog over their name )
07:35 - Added PVP damage setting, and made it available in the multiplayer admin menu
07:51 - Increased the raw fullness of some of the perishables
08:08 - 3D Printer that is above ground
08:24 - Solafite above ground
08:51 - Rest of the update notes
11:42 - Ending

  • I cant wait for u to play this game on the channel. Traps are so much more important now and the new mutants make everything INSANE. Spotty is a pain to kill so have fun with that lol.

    This game got so much better. I'm loving the tougher cannibals and MORE mutants! It makes trekking across the island more dangerous especially when you see a search party in the distance or leaving a camp. You gotta think more strategically now or be ready to run like hell. Also, I figured out how to finally drive the KnightV - don't move your mouse.

    One of the inventory reductions you missed was the zip line ropes and the 3d printed zip line hooks for them. You used to be able to carry 10 of each I believe, and that's now been reduced to 3. Going to be a pain for players like us who like to build zipline highways

    I know the devs actually do take notice of farkets channel and his input on improvments and ideas. I’d like to share some ideas, (tbh I don’t expect this to ever be read by anyone) Since the electrical and farming systems are rather basic currently some features that I think would be great are: *electric heating lamps for growing in winter or in snowy areas. *a greenhouse blueprint that uses logs, sticks, tarps, wire, and lightbulbs. *Composters that take rotten meat, leaves, corpses, water, ect and makes fertilizer that increases harvest amount and decreases grow time. *A water wheel blueprint to work as a craftable alternative to solar. ~or as a way to make bone meal for use as fertilizer. *Hemp producing plants that can be used to craft cloth & rope ~ some hemp mats/rugs for use on floors as a kind of carpet or tatami mat would be kinda slick to Ngl
