The imperial palace is about a hundred times larger than you portrayed it. They didn't just level Mount Everest, they leveled the ENTIRE Himalayan mountain range. The palace itself encompasses almost 2/3 of the entire Asian continent.

Also holy shit, can you imagine and Iron Warriors legion with the FLAWLESS logistics of the Ultramarines supporting it? You NEVER run out of ammo, mines, tanks, armor, ships, fuel, ferrocrete. "Oh you need what to assault that world as efficiently as possible? Too easy, 3-5 business days, free shipping". can you imagine capturing a Tyranid ship and infecting it with the Obliterator Virus then Dad catches you with it and you're expecting to get yelled at and he just says "huh...that's kinda neat. Go get a bigger one."

Pre-Heresy: Guilliman: *writes a better tax code* Dorn: *makes THE best sandcastle* Perturabo: *builds a better mousetrap* Post-Heresy: Guilliman: *cries into his paperwork* Dorn: *measures the board-width* Perturabo: *digs holes*

Iron warriors are by far one of the most competent legions around, the fact they have hazard tape as part of their paint scheme speaks volumes

I imagine that when Perty learned of what his kids did to a tyranid ship, he went: that's cool and all, but let's do a fleet next.

I think Perturabo left more because of the demons, than the jealousy. If you read the passage in Mortis, he's not surprised by the order to be displaced from command. He says that "there is nothing left here that can be called victory", and he knows about Horus's delerium. It appears more that he knows that a Chaos-possesed Horus is a defeat all on its own, so he leaves for that reason.

So, a theory I like is that Perturabo is not actually a Daemon Prince. But instead, the injury Fulgrim dealt him caused his body to degrade so much that he had to keep adding mechanical improvements to his suit to stay alive. Given the reputation the iron warriors have with how they deal with mutations and posession, I don't think Perty would accept becoming a daemon prince. So that, or he got effected by the oblitirator virus himself. Which I'm fine with, too.

I'm casting my vote for the blood angels but I really want the night lords to get another chance
  • Isyander never mentions that Ultramarine isn't just the singular form of the title of Robute's legion, but is a deep blue color and a mineral that used as a pigment to produce that color? THE COLOR OF THE ULTRAMARINES IS ULTRAMARINE. There simply is no aspect of the Ultramarines that isn't Ultra.

The best way to describe the difference between UM and IW is that while both legions are mirror-brilliant at logistics, UM takes advantage of specialisation to an inordinate degree, but the IW treat all their legionaries like cogs in an unstoppable war machine. The IW recruitment process is always understated in how incredible it is. Each marine is a master at firearms, logistics, architecture, siege-warfare, engineering and mathematical reasoning. They have to be, because for Peter, he needs to be able to interchange cogs in his machine if one is faulty - be it a line trooper or one of his Triarchs. And they make these marines from essentially the worst stock there is to offer. So UMs are specialists, while IWs are generalists. A UM will not under any normal circumstances, be able to garrison an entire world with a squad of marines, but any IW can, because they can do everything - they can fix the machines, fortifications and design them, work out the supply chains and calculate the optimal use of resources, calculate optimal firing patterns to conserve ammunition, etc.

My vote is for the Blood Angels, they've had it rough in the lore for a hot minute while the Avenging Beans have had it REAL good comparatively.
  • @stevenpeven258
Horus: “hey, Perturabo, bro, remember that brother of ours with major anger issues? Go herd that obnoxiously angry cat.” Perturabo: sigh “FINE…”
  • @jameshunter3867
...An Iron Warriors joint operation with the Night Lords would be one of the worst situations to be set against: scaring the living daylights out of any defenders before these defenders get ground to mulch!
  • @florilaan
You manage to portray peter turbo's intense violent autism so well and keep the video so hilarious it's just a joy to watch
  • @LangostaV76
I'm voting for the Blood Angels, I loved them ever since I played them in Horus Heresy: Legions, the card game. Also, youtube sees this video as a game from 1995.
  • @EpicMEF
I really hope Vashtorr becomes the next chaos God and Perturabo his daemon primarch. That would be metal AF 🤘
  • Corvus Corax and the Ravenguard because id love your take on Corvus' current warpy shenanigan! However as they aren't currently an option, I vote the Ultramarines. When all else fails, you want the dependability that their efficiency brings.
  • @voddball4480
I vote for a White Scars/Jaghatai Khan episode Times I've requested an episode for the Khan: 8 ‘Since when was saving mankind from the darkness a sign of weakness?’ Jaghatai
  • @Grimangel53
I vote for the blood angels to learn more of sanguinius. But I would LOVE to learn about the Leagues of Votann!
  • @tnaheath
The blood angels!! blood for the God emperor! Skulls for technology! and Art... just because
