Of course I know of the Legend Ultra Chad that is Steve Irwin! I loved that dude! 😄 I was lucky enough to be born in the early 90s, so I got the privilege of experiencing the joy that he brought to the world. Was sad when he passed, but he was doing what he loved and had done so much to help others love and appreciate animals. The world is a darker place without him, but it’s still an overall better place for having had him, however briefly.

Steve Irwin. That man is a legend. The one man who's brave enough to pick up a creature capable of killing a human easily but instead of speaking fearfully of them, he speaks of how amazing they are in the wild. How incredible they can be. That man will forever be a legend among mortals.

Alligators are fast in the water because of their physiology and on land, but only if they use a gait called low-walking. It allows them to move quicker because their bodies are so close to the ground. High-walking, on the other hand, lifts their bodies off the ground and they move much slower because they have to support their entire weight this way. One way of distinguishing a crocodile and an alligator are the way their teeth are arranged. In crocs, the fourth lower tooth in the bottom jaw shows while in alligators, that never happens. The other crocodilians are caimans (parts of southern Asia and South America) and gharials (India and Bangladesh).
