It never ceases to amaze me how such magnificent buildings were built to stand the test of time and by hand no less! Modern architecture has NOTHING on the great masterpieces of long ago.

I live in Australia Stacey. I dream of living in the UK countryside so so much! Just really wanted to thank you for your beautiful channel. It brings so much peace and happiness to me when I watch it! Heidi is so adorable too! Thanks again for the wonderful episodes that are so beautifully put together visually and musically 🙏🌻

Back in the early 1970's, I was Stationed (RAF) at RAF Digby just outside of Lincoln City, and decided to make a visit to Lincoln Cathedral on a day off. It is a magnificent building. Just inside the main doorway, was a glass toped cabinet, with a large book opened at the same date and day, but back during WWI, with the name of a soldier dated 11th August 1915 (example) when he arrive, and the date of his death during battles, was 15th August 1915. The pages showing dates of a soldiers arrival, and death made my eyes water a bit, as it was so sad to read the casualties during WWI. So sad to see soldiers arrive at the battle fields, and only survived a couple of days, weeks or months..... I also made a visit to Arundel Castle a few years during the late 70's after serving my 12 years, but a bit disappointed as much of the internal castle was roped off, but no restrictions to have a wander around the outside....

Thanks so much for bringing your audience Lincoln Cathedral. It is beautiful beyond belief and your artistic photography totally does it justice. The stained glass windows look superb, thank goodness they and the whole cathedral survived the Reformation..

So beautiful and majestic, both sites are incredible! You can feel the weight of history in the castle while the cathedral feels like it's elevating you to the heavens, I could spend ages just soaking in the atmosphere of both places, and I can't wait to visit someday!

Wow what a view from the top of the castle. I have been to Lincoln a number of times but never been in the Castle. It’s a beautiful and historic city and the cathedral is magnificent.

I love the ancient cathedrals in England. This one reminds me of Wells Cathedral. I spent 4 weeks in Wells last year & took every tour they offered. These monuments are a treasure! Thanks for sharing!
