We Kotor fans have had to endure a lot of suffering over the last few months. All the better when there is news that can be viewed as positive. Thank you for always keeping us up to date!

This truly is one of the more interesting remakes to follow. In a way it makes zero sense for it to be cancelled. This is tied to Sony's reputation now. And its a huge flagship of Embracer. Meanwhile Disney needs the Old Republic timeline now more than ever. A remake is the perfect introduction nowadays for newcomers. It just makes way to much financial sense for all of these parties. Developer incompotence just makes no sense either. They have good games and good developers. Look at Space Marine 2 for example. But then you have the way Embracer has handled this. Their shakey foundations when it comes to sustained game developing. The usual way Sony likes to have their first party games be in terms of cinematic design. Which clearly didn't mesh with the Kotor Remake. It's really crazy and truly a coin flip if this game comes out. It should by all means reach the end of its development. Whatever the state might be on release. But it could also be a cursed endeavor for the unluckiest of reasons.

Oh man... 24 hours later from this and the NEW KOTOR news couldn't be more polar opposite from this - what on earth?!
  • I honestly don’t give a shit at this point. I’ll just play Fan Expansions like Brotherhood of Shadow - Solomon’s Revenge or KOTOR III: The Jedi Masters. Those at least won’t be corporatised by Disney and they’re all 100% free.

The fact that people were bagging you out just proves how much influence you have in this space. I only have 2 YouTube channels with push notifications and that’s you and Ryan George. Your content is top notch and engaging.

If nothing else, there's a bit of reassurance here. There's lots riding on this remake for all involved, and things have already been very rough. Still, they could surprise people and pull through. I hope they do.

I waited 10 years for dead island 2 so I’ll believe this game is actually coming out when I’m playing it

Love your vids man, i hope there will be some sort of announcement at the game awards for the remake or other star wars games

Yeah I have to agree. I tend to be an optimistic person too and I choose to believe that until we have firm evidence to the contrary, development of the Kotor remake is going smoothly if not great. Leaks unfortunately are very common these days and so it's easy to fear cancellation when there's no official news or leaks but we should remember that it wasn't too long ago that this was the norm. I used to not know a sequel to a favorite game of mine was being made until I saw ads for it on TV, or in some cases until I saw it sitting on store shelves.

Well....I'll always appreciate you trying to keep us optimistic

Thanks for making this upload! I share your optimism and agree those are all good signs. KOTOR 1&2 literally changed my life. Revisiting the restored content KOTOR 2 right now at the moment after over a decade and having a lot of fun. These games literally changed my life and have had a huge influence on me. I really hope this remake comes out soon!

Thank you for reporting on this in a positive light. You are the only one I've seen do this.
