Why Isn't The Best Burger Stand a Nationwide Chain?

Weird History is ordering a Double Double telling you the History of In-n-Out Burger. The famous burger chain was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder. Harry first visited a local market to buy fresh ingredients for his 10-square-foot-wide hamburger stand. From there, In-n-Out has exploded in the West and Southwest with a rabid, almost cult-like following. You're gonna want this video Animal-Style, so sit back, relax, and enjoy.

I'm a SoCal native, and really appreciate this video with the best narrator ever for Weird History Food!!

The only time I've ever seen an In-N-Out NOT busy, was when they were closed at the time. Always worth the wait.

My favorite burger. Hands down. I live in LA and thank GOD they are here! It’s interesting to know the history behind it. Didn’t know about the tragedies with the two sons. Thanks for this video. 👍
  • When I worked in an LA hotel, it was the landmark I was asked most about. I once advised a dad to order his "animal style" to impress his teenage daughter when they went. He came back and told me he loved it and daughter was impressed at his "cool"😅

In n Out is the only thing I miss about living in California. The burgers are really damn good.

In and Out is simple and amazing!!! They don't need to add 100 things to the menu following fads like McD's and Carls Jr, they just put out an amazing product, don't get bullied by politics and always have a huge line to get to those savory burgers. Great video!!!

Growing up in Southern Calif 1963-1998 I'm very familiar with In&Out plus a huge fan!! When I moved to the Denver area in 96 I called In&Outs Corp Office and asked about selling me a franchise in the Denver area knowing it would be hugely popular. I was told at that time they weren't in COLO because they couldn't guarantee their specific products could be shipped there and keep fresh enough. FFWD 20 Years and they opened one up near me in the Denver area and the place was packed solid, open to close!! This location had so much traffic that it generated the City had to use The Police Dept to control traffic in about a mile in every direction!!! This went on for 7-8 weeks, but did start to slow down so they were only packed from 10am-1pm and 4pm-7pm. The place is a gold mine for whomever received the franchise license, unfortunately it wasn't me!! Jeez, I even bought a 50th Anniversary Shirt while visiting my folks in Calif back in the day, I'm that big of a fan. Oh well... ;) My Fav, The Classic, Dbl, Dbl with grilled, reg fries and a Pepsi/Coke. Ohhh Yeah!!!🍔🍟🥤😋🤤

Whoever wrote the script for this video did a great job, didn't expect to laugh so much at a cheeseburger video

Culver's is a good restaurant to talk about in the Midwest area and beyond.

That was fun and interesting. Thanks for video! Love In Out burgers! Blessed with one 15 miles away (Milpitas, aka Smellpitas for bay area folks). Now I have its history, Thanks!

0:08 I sent an email letter to Jim Pillen (the governor of Nebraska) requesting that the state of Nebraska (AKA The Beef State) should bring in In-N-Out Burger. He sent back a letter the next day saying that he thought it would be a great idea if the circumstances were right.

Prior to arriving at the venue for Super Bowl XLII, Tom Coughlin, NYG head coach, was videotaped eating a Double Double Burger in front of the tour bus full of his players and staff. They absolutely loved seeing their coach in a more relaxed and greasy manner than they were accustomed to. They could see he was at ease, which mentally set the players at ease as well. Is it possible that “In N Out Burger” helped the New York Giants win over the perfect New England Patriots? I do not believe in this being a coincidence!

I was born in SoCal, in 1956. In my teens, there were only a few In N Outs. We drove for an hour, to get to the closest one. I could never count how many 3x3s I've had!! Moved to Southern Oregon several years ago. About 5 years ago, they opened an In N Out, in Medford. There are a lot of SoCal transplants here now. So it was an immediate hit!! Awesome for us! One of the things that we all missed most, has come to us. Now, the Oregon lifers are hooked on In N Out!! Drive thru line a block long, just like all of them. So happy for their success, after the tough times. Thanks. In N Out!!! We love ya!! 🍔❤
