So Airbus pushes on ❤
-
I believe it's Tim Clark (Emirates) who complained the engines required too much maintenance downtime. You don't mention that directly.
-
I hope inibuilds does this on their a350 too 😅
-
I like how they upgraded the powerplants on the -900, but what does this mean for the -1000? Both being the same airframe, I would hope they both have the same upgrades.
-
Airbus : Test 2500 hot cycles for it's new A350 engines from R&R even if this is maybe a 5% change of design in this already proven engine Boeing : Doesn't test at all according to it's mission profile the whole new design of it's Starliner trust system (including the propellant for it, i.e. helium) Guess which company is in deep trouble now ?
-
maybe this will convince emirates to order the a350-1000
-
Maybe now Tim Clark will buy more A350s for Emirates
-
Wonder if this changes the list price of the A350?

Airbus A350 v2.1
-
Look forward to travel aboard ITA A350 from ORD to Rome.
-
Good move!Airbus are streets ahead of Boeing.l should think these new engine improvements will attract customers.
-
is this engine gonna be more powerful than the ge9x engine on the 777x?
-
So Will these upgraded RR engines have any increased power too? and if YES: would these be enough for Tim Clark/Emirates - who, I recall, complaining that the A350 was underpowered and hence Emirates decided not to buy them.
-
This year: A350-941 Next year: A350-942
-
That's the point: Airbus and partners are constantly upgrading their products, showing in the process that they hold their engineering departments in the highest premium. Boeing lags behind in this department.
-
I wonder if this engine is required for Qantas project Sunrise in ters of achieving promised range, especially with closed Russian/Soviet airspace for foreseable future. That small imrpovement may be key.
-
Airbus knows what they're doing.

1:43 did he really mean to say 50 Kelvin hotter? That about 220 °C hotter.
