1) I was wrong to recommend the velcro hooks go on the opposite side- that would cause it to catch on clothes- but i was still right to call it an issue.
2) i didn't put it in the video, but if you like the video, please subscribe. i don't make that many videos but i do aspire to one day getting enough traffic to monetize my posts- to do that i need 1000 subscribers.

ORIGINAL POST:
When I was reviewing this holster, I couldn't find any independent 3rd party reviews on the VNSH holster. However, with a money back guarantee (even return shipping), I decided it was a zero risk decision. This video is my raw unbiased review of the product I received. I'm making the video to help others that might be considering it.

SPOILER WARNING: After receiving the holster, it took less than 15 minutes for me to decide to return it. To be fair, they got pretty close... close enough I would be willing to give them a second try if they address my design concerns. Absent that, I'll remain on the hunt for a holster I am look forward to wearing.

2 things: 1) VNSH has seen this and replied. Kudos to them! Check out their response at https://youtu.be/sOOq_m8FyeE 2) I was wrong to recommend the velcro hooks go on the opposite side- that would cause it to catch on clothes
  • This was such a great review. Honest, reasonable, rational. If the company had guys like you during development, they'd have an even better product. Some of these issues are literally the result of a 50-50 coin flip decision. Hooks on the outside belt and loops on the inside. Folding the snap webbing tail under instead of sewing the tail further along the strap. Only two options and they picked the worse one. Hopefully they see this and can make quite reasonable changes.

Anthony, wanted you to know that new viewers are still seeing your review for the very first time. It still just as important now as it was when you made it. Thanks for your excellent work. Very fair and balanced. As soon as you pulled the trigger on your M&P while it was still inside and the holster, I yelled “No!”. If there is even a 10% chance of that happening, it is too dangerous. Thanks for having the courage to be honest and truthful. You may have saved someone’s life or a criminal charge from a ND. You, sir, are a hero! Need more Anthonys in the world. Thanks much.

Man they really needed someone like you on their R&D team. Thank you for sharing your insights. It's so great to see a reasonable person share sound opinions.
  • One of the best reviews I have ever seen. Thank you for your honest review, they should hire you to be part of the redesign team.

I just got mine and I love it. Ordered it skeptical. Very pleased.

Huge help. Thank you for your time. I got an ad and it was an ad i actually watched, i went to the website and just about ordered it and decided i should find a review for it. Almost all videos about this holster are by the company itself. I found yours, and man am i glad i did. My waist isnt as big, so the velcro wouldnt have been an issue, the other non issue for me would be the trigger guard, i carry a compact 1911 so you can pull the trigger all day and it isnt going off until you drop the safety and engage the grip safety, but the fact that that strap is sewn the wrong way so it creates a barrier to my thumb is a deal breaker. Again, thank you. 🤘

I got one a month ago. I, too, saw the stitching was sub-par, especially at that price point. I got use to flipping the snap, but I see your point. I e-mailed them pics of stitching and they sent me another with no questions asked. Now I have two for the price of 79$. All in all, it's not my favorite, but I would wear one if I was in shorts or sweats, and for that reason I'm keeping mine. Great review, much-needed for this holster.

Thanks for taking the time to do this review! I absolutely agree that the catch release is a critical design flaw and have no idea how that got through any basic testing. Glad to see the company seems to have noticed, so I'll wait to see if they do anything about it.

I just ordered one,and wish I saw your review before I did . Awesome, and honest review, and after watching the companies response I truly believe they thank you for it,because it will help them to make a better product, the "American way", and help their business grow! God Bless!

Thank you SO much for making this video. You just saved me a lot of money, hassle and disappointment. I very much appreciate it. This current model has WAY too many design flaws and serious safety issues. And at $130, the build quality issues are also unacceptable, to me anyway. Like you said, that's what you'd expect from "Walmart quality". However, $130 is NOT a Walmart price point. So, they should be doing better than they are for that kind of money. Anyway, thanks again. :) Hopefully someday they'll come out with something better.

That’s people it’s one of the most comprensible and honest review I’m see in long time. Thaks Sr..👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 And that’s the difference wen companies make their own reviews and real weapons users make real life situations….

Thank you for this review. I was just getting ready to purchase this item online. But now I'm aware of the safety hazard of being able to shoot while inside the holster. I'll wait for the updated version if they decide to fix these flaws.
  • @blyeeee
In my opinion, you did a great job with your review. Thank you for taking your time. It was very thorough.

Anthony, thank you so much for this review. I literally had my credit card out. I’m a 34 waist so the Velcro situation would not be an issue for me. The trigger guard? Maybe. But it looks like you really had to dig in there with your finger hard to pull the trigger. But the issue with the strap that holds the gun in place…total deal breaker. You’re right. In a panic situation, you’d never free your own gun from the holster. I’ll wait for the improved model, or find a better option in the meantime. Great review. Really appreciated.

Great review, thank you. I watched VNSH's response also. They seem like they are a good company. I'm going to purchase one and give it a shot. No pun intended! 😂👍
  • Great review. I came here looking for an honest review on this holster before I purchased it. My main concern would be it falling out when I'm running or exercising. I absolutely agree that the little notch would be a huge issue when needing to present your firearm in an emergency. The search continues for a decent holster that I can wear while running.
  • Thank you so much for taking the time to do a review. I was going to buy this holster but wanted a third party review. I appreciate how through you were and how you pointed out various problems.
  • @VB6000.
Thank you. Was teetering on buying it but your video changed my mind.
