Doof is literally the least neglectful dad , he is literally the most involved father ever ,since he was always forgotten by his parents as a kid. That's why she thinks he's too into preserving her childhood and clingy.

By the way, the doll was something sheā€™d wanted for YEARS, but itā€™s a rare doll that she couldnā€™t find. But Doof remembered and has been searching all this time, and this episode is when he actually finds it to give it to her. Also, Doof is actually a VERY good father. Heā€™s just very cringey to a sixteen year old girl XD Heā€™s not really evil, just a bit loud and weird. Heā€™s never neglected her or treated her poorly. He loves her a lot

In case youā€™re curious, Buford and Baljeet are exactly as the song states, frienemies. Buford technically ā€œbulliesā€ Baljeet, but he doesnā€™t cross any lines. If Baljeet clearly states heā€™s upset then Buford stops. And they do actually hang out, they have fun together. Buford doesnā€™t let other people bully Baljeet. They know each other REALLY well, like theyā€™ve known each other their whole lives. So no need to worry about them, theyā€™re good.
  • So the thing about Phineas is he doesn't ignore Isabella. He's still a great friend and there are numerous episodes that even center around him helping her out with something, namely getting Fireside patches. He's just insanely oblivious to the fact that she is into him.

I know you don't know but put some respect on Doofs name. He LOVES his daughter Vanessa more than anything. He is just too much and overbearing with his love, he goes about his support in a way that often embarrasses her or makes her angry. He works so hard for her approval and happiness but there is a disconnect with outcome and intention. The doll was something she asked for as a child and he never stopped searching for to make her happy, finally showing her his dedication to her
  • Doofenshmirtz is actually a great and dedicated father, Vanessa just finds him embarrassing and doesn't like that he's "evil". She learns to appreciate him over the series and he makes some pretty big life changes for her.

Love the fact that he doesn't question the marvel superheroes at all
  • So the doll in 11:36 was something Vanessa (Dr.Doof's daughter) really wanted as a little kid, but these line of dolls were really rare and difficult to acquire, they were then discontinued, so she wasn't able to get it at the time. Vanessa moved on, but Doof continued searching for it all these years till he found it, Vanessa thinks she's too old for dolls now, but she still keeps the doll, cause it shows how much her dad cares for her, and she keeps it on her shelf.
  • Don't you dare say that about doofensmirtz, he was an amazing father, his parents hated, abandoned and disowned him so he went out of his way to make sure he was in as much of his daughters life as possible, doing whatever he thought would make her happy, he was just an embarrassing guy to be around
  • The context for why Ferb was dressed like a knight with a mace and a net is that was the ā€œbackup planā€ if Bobby refused to go with them
  • @Zeandico
Context for the "Not so bad a dad" song. Vanessa, as a child wanted a specific doll, and now, as a teenager, Doof gave it to her. Turns out, that ever since she asked him for it, he never stopped looking for one, but they were such a rarity that it took him until her teenage years to find one for her.
  • @pketr5
Actually, the problem with Doof as a dad is that he puts too much effort. That and he's evil.
  • Idk why i was getting so defensive of baljeet and buford during this video šŸ˜ I didnt realize i cared so much. but yeah they kind of start off having a typical bully bullied relationship but throughout the show its shown that theyre actually really good friends. They actually have another song where they just sing about how much they miss and care about each other LOL
  • @brenlc1412
Matthew: Questions everything about the video Also Matthew: Doesnā€™t question Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, and Hulk being there.
  • Now that youā€™ve done ā€œim fabulousā€ you need to do ā€œainā€™t got rhythmā€ and ā€œmusic has the power to change your lifeā€ if you havenā€™t already
  • @ShadyDoorags
There isn't really any "repairing" needed between Vanessa and Doof. In fact, the internet generally considers Doof to be one of the best animated dads ever, especially since he himself had a traumatizing childhood and instead of passing on that trauma, he did his best to care for Vanessa. Vanessa is simply doing what cliche moody teens do and cringes at her dad's attempts of showing affection. Even the doll is technically a failed attempt by Doof in showing his affection since it was a present Vanessa wanted as a child but eventually outgrew. But it's not the doll Vanessa likes, it's the fact that Doof never stopped looking for it for years just because she wanted it. The whole point of Not So Bad A Dad is that Vanessa is realizing the little things Doof does for her might be cringe but they're just his way of showing he cares and she's beginning to appreciate that.
  • @GentleIceZ
Yeah, they all have his hairstyle, which is the mom's hairstyle, which we now know she got from him. So now that hairstyle has a backstory, which is very weird but also very amazing
  • @IISheireenII
Llamas are in fact a type of camel. The ones with the hump you thought of were dromedar. Both are camels, they are related species.
  • @ryttyr14
Context for Vanessa's song: She wished for that particular doll when she was 4 and now on her 16th birthday her dad finally managed to find and get that doll for her.
