Actually I think the Queen's idea made a lot of sense. To ants, humans are very powerful beings and if she could change his nature then her colony would have access to an extremely powerful ally with limitless food. And thats not even to mention the lifespan difference.

They really just spared Lucas despite being a great war criminal and mass genocider of the ants

I really liked this. At the very end I was hoping the bully would harass lucas and then the wasps would attack the bully

The interesting thing about the “maggot droppings” part is that it was a caterpillar not a maggot. It’s specifically a caterpillar from the Lycaenidae butterfly genus family which are known for secreting sugary substances and the ants love this sugary sustenance so they protect the caterpillar. It’s a fascinating symbiotic relationship and they portrayed it pretty well in this movie.

This is the movie that solidified in my mind that there was a cornucopia in the Fruit of the Looms logo. I still vividly remember it on my underwear and shirts back then. Unfortunately, all of the evidence I had was given away a very long time ago. The logo actually shows up in this video at around 4:19-4:20.

This was a fun movie and I do love all the little details. I like Lucas's look once he gets shrunken, with his crazy hair and makeshift clothes.
