This was a great review of this in a real-world situation that faces some of us. Im partially disabled so my grass gets high sometimes. I love that you shows both self propelled and push, and that you used 'real people' grass and not someone's golf course lawn to test this out. Other than the whine (that may dissipate at the mower parts settle in) this mower looks awesome. That your grass is on a slope and you tested it there is just a bonus feature. Keep doing more of these types of things if you can. I have a Greenworks double blade 20" mower that leaves grass standing. This one looks great.

Thanks for the tutorial we were having a hard time turning it on. We just made the purchase so we have to get use to the lawn mower. I use to own a Honda and it was awesome. This one is really light and very easy to use.

Thanks for the review and using a rough looking yard really showed it can do what a gas mower can do, I plan to get the non propelled one in the morning as we own a 40v 2ah battery Kobalt leaf blower already and you just showed a 2.5ah battery worked in the the mower and thats a plus! also may pick up a 40v Kobalt weedeater later on.

I read somewhere that the front tips up on occasion leaving some unmoved grass. You ever experienced that. Thanks for the great demo of its cutting capabilities.

so i did it….amazing mower….. it is better then the toro gas recycler it replaced….mulching is excellent…. i have centerpiece grass and almost a 1/2 acre….the 6ah battery made it even with self propelled engaged….i looked at the Ryobi…..i think it was made cheaply…… thanks for this video , it helped me make my decision!!!!

I been thinking trying out kobalt, beeng using ryobi for years not with them having rocky start and getting better. But few people been recommending this brand and thinking trying it.

It would be cool if that had a solar panel on the top, not as much to power the mower but to charge the dead battery while running on the charged one.

You seem like a smarter man than me. I have this mower. The mower just stopped while I was mowing. Now the blade won’t start up. The self propelled works so it’s not a battery issue. Any tips?

Funny putting this next to my old Murray selfpropell gas mower this thing can only be called a toy. It may work but in a fight my Murry would have eaten & spit this thing out. Picked this now because am older with health issues and this offers no pull start and little to no maintenance. Bought the selfpropell version and gass is about 500 sqft area anyway.

Loved the review just bought one at Lowe’s yesterday, and I have a question for you! How do you feel about 3rd party batteries for this mower? I’ve seen 6Ah batteries other than Cobalt going at almost half the price! Would you suggest purchasing one?

I just bought a Kobalt. When extend the handle one side is higher than the other. Not sure how to fix this. It almost looks like yours came out of the box the same way. See video at 1:48. If so, what did you do to straight the handles? Thanks!
