ℹ️ About the Episode: We looked at the odometer when we left Arizona in the spring—turns out, that was 12,000 miles ago. Crossing the county twice didn't help! As a result, there are some things we need to repair and maintain while we are back at the KYD Cabin for the 4th of July.
On our way home, we stopped in Moab to work for a couple of days and took a scenic drive through Arches National Park. In this episode, we leave Fort Collins, CO, and make our way to Moab, UT, before finally arriving at home to meet Victoria, Duncan, and Annie 🐾. Annie is Charlie's sister, and she'll be hitting the road with us for the next month. We also take care of some RV maintenance (such as the broken city water inlet valve), change the oil in the onboard Onan generator, attempt to replace our microwave with an air fryer, and replace a broken breaker in the electrical panel. It's an action-packed episode!

  • If Tricia Leach has even one flaw, I’ve sure never seen it in 7yrs of faithful viewing. Excellent wife, excellent mom, excellent cook, very kind, works out, eats healthy, intelligent, she’s beautiful!!!, & still finds so much joy in life. Love her ❤. And the rest of you too
  • Having just gotten back from a 6 week, 10,000 mile road trip we love and appreciate the mix of travel and repair/maintenance videos because like you said Marc, that’s real life. Appreciate all that you share so that we can all learn from you & Trish :)
  • Air Fryer solution: drill four small holes in drawer to put Air Fryer’s rubber feet into. It won’t shift when traveling and more importantly: it should fit in your drawer cabinet.
  • Loving the balance of your content! It keeps getting better with the empty nest!
  • Thank you for the balance. As a full timer I appreciate knowing we aren’t the only ones that has repairs and hiccups during our travels ❤
  • Marc, tilt the fuel additive bottle and prop it up so that the "tube" shares the air space between the "shot" and the space above the liquid in the bottle. Hard to do with a bottle shaped like that. Looks like it might work best when half-full. So when that one is empty, transfer half the new bottle into the old one resulting in two half-full bottles at any given time. I hope that explanation comes through.... harder to explain than I thought it would be. And I'm another vote in favor of the balance of content you and Trish provide. Thanks for all you do.
  • Colorado "trick". Diesel and any other bottle; shampoo, dish soup, whatever. Squeeze some air out of it before you drive. Gives room for expansion.
  • We are retired and recently purchased our first RV…2023 Globetrotter, so we are newbies. Your videos are great and provide just the right balance of travel and technical information. Please don’t change!
  • I’ve watched your channel from the beginning when your children were oh so young! We are retired and are now full time RVing. Your channel was the catalyst for this journey. Thank you! I do watch other RV channels and have a better tip for a tub drain hair catcher than the metal screen (used that first). It is a tip from Chad and Tara on Changing Lanes. It is called the TubShroom and it really works better than the strainer! I love it. I have long red hair and it does a great job of keeping the hair from sliding down the pipe. Mine is white but they do have different colors. Give it a try. Blessings and safe travels! ❤
  • I must say I absolutely love all of your content no matter what it is. I just dream of doing what you both do. Really enjoy spending Sunday's with you both, watching your dreams come true. Thank you so much for the awesome content you deliver to all who follow you. I will never stop following you, and look forward to visiting the list of places you have visited. We just love you guys to pieces.
  • As a life long camper, but new travel trailer owner, I greatly appreciate the technical videos. The balance you have is great!
  • @Patti_D
Thanks for the technical videos! I love them…and need them.
  • You guys were here just in time.... last week WIKLDFIRES have broken out and there is one very near Chatfield and they closed it so the the planes can fly down and scoop water out to "try" to help contain the fire. Its really scary for those of us that live in the mountains :(
  • We just stayed in Stoner Colorado, near Delores. The park wasn’t what we expected but the park owner gave us a welcoming package including fresh eggs, the sites had a nice propane grill, wood love seat, fire pit, picnic table, oil lamp and I heard the washer and dryers are free. $50/night plus they had music Friday and Saturday. Our site back up to the creek.
  • 2:51 I have a small bucket that holds my diesel additive. The stuff smells very nasty as you know, so the bucket lives in my adventure box cargo trailer. I never haul it anywhere in the cab of my truck unless it's a new sealed bottle that I am hauling home from the store I just bought it at. HTSAYTC member here!
  • That stretch of 1-70 is just beautiful. We were just there in mid June. Just stunning!!!!! The effect of the altitude on chip bags is hilarious 😂
  • Just a solitary vote for maintenance videos over here. The travel videos are fun, but we have our own adventures. Caring for our rig…. that I need help with! ❤ Thanks for making them. Even if it’s just for me.
