I like to think that Jimmy passing is sort of a Willy Wonka situation where he's finally ready to rest now that he's found a boy worthy of inheriting his chocolate factory: Eddie Burback

I like that the latest comments are split between "what a beautiful unintentional tribute to Jimmy" and "YOU KILLED HIM." Either way, may he rest in Margaritaville. It's 5 o'clock everywhere now.

Shoutout to the one AMAZING manager at the Margaritaville that let them in after closing. People are shocking willing to help out when you explain what' going on, ironically even more so when the reason is legitimate but also EXTREMELY stupid.

Turns out Jimmy had immortality as long as nobody ate at every margaritaville

I ate at a margaritaville for the first time this year and literally said "this is just Rainforest Cafe for adults". So this is a natural progression for eddy

It's like the trauma of eating at every Rainforest Cafe got to Eddy, and the only way he could cope was by forming an unhealthy bond with an entirely different themed restaurant chain

i find it funny how this is supposed to be a role reversal of the last trip, where eddy is the one having a good time, but by the end he realizes that this lifestyle is unhealthy and that he shouldnt spend his life chasing it. meanwhile there was no moral to Ted's obsession with RFC, he's just insane

Unbeknownst to Eddy & Teddy, going to every single Margaritaville was actually a ritual that took take away Jimmy's immortality.

My Mom is a massive Parrothead who has been to multiple Jimmy Buffet concerts in her lifetime. I've had a decent portion of Jimmy Buffet's songs memorized since I was 12. I have eaten at three Margaritaville resturaunts, stayed at a Margaritaville hotel, and recently went on a Margaritaville-themed cruise ship. I have worn multiple Margaritaville shirts to school. The family minivan has a "Pirate Looks at Forty" lisence plate on the front. The bar in our basement has two Margaritaville drink coolers, a Margaritaville clock on the wall, a "Changes in Lattitues" sign, and an "It's 5-o'clock Somewhere" sign right above it, and multiple Margaritaville margarita blenders. I own a Margaritaville bike with a little squeaky parrot instead of a bell or horn. I have read four of Jimmy Buffet's books, including two childrens picture books and two short story collections inspired by his songs. My mother's ringtone has been "Margaritaville" the song since she got her first iPhone and I've been conditioned to think her phone is ringing every time I hear that song in the wild. She also wants to move to Florida and live at the Margaritaville Resort outside of Orlando, and wants her gravestone to be a palm tree with lyrics from "The Weather is Here" engraved on it. I also know way too much Jimmy Buffett trivia for someone my age, including his birthday and the stories behind some of his songs. Did I mention I'm not even of drinking age? As someone who's been surrounded by Jimmy Buffet shit my whole life, it is utterly fascinating seeing the opinion of an outsider. Yes, the Parrotheads are a cult, even as an insider I can tell you that, but if I had to be born into a cult, I'm glad it was this one. RIP Jimmy Buffett. You made my childhood, for better or for worse
