73-9 is good, but 72-10 has a nice ring to it.

He never gave himself a nickname, never sat in a barbershop stating he's the goat. He gave the greats their due in their eras and let us all witness true greatness. MJ is the only GOAT

1996 Bulls - win 72 regular season games, go into the NBA Finals having lost just one more game with an overall record of 83-11 (0.883) 2016 Warriors - win 73 regular season games, go into NBA Finals having lost 5 more games with an overall record of 85-14 (0.858) LeBron - "I beat the greatest team of all time" No LeBron, you didn't...that was, and still is, the 96 Bulls.
  • Wait, so the Goat did not say "This is when I knew that I was the greatest of all time"

Hearing this from MJ and seeing a lot of superstars now talking about 'load management' makes the 90s NBA the gold standard of elite basketball IMHO.
  • "When you're good at something, you'll tell everyone. When you're great at something, they'll tell you." Walter Payton
  • The way MJ listed his favorite accomplishments is really something. He didn't care about winning MVP, DPOY or any individual awards. He just wanted to be a champion
  • Jordan was the coolest person on the planet and it wasn't even close.

"Any man who must say I AM THE KING...is no true King" - Tywin Lannister
  • Jordan was ALWAYS a class act. Always a suit. Always clean cut. Always articulate. He had good parents, and it showed.

The GOAT of interviews as well. The man oozes charisma.

1996 MJ 🐐 telling the Warriors that 70+ doesnt mean anything without the championship 😂
  • @The.Governator
True... 70 means nothing without a ring. I think the pressure to go all the way made the Bulls even more hungrier to win that 4th title.

When Lebron won championships, that state celebrated, when Michael Jordan and the bulls won championships, the whole world celebrated! Jordan was and always will Be the GOAT!!!😊
  • Just listening to him speak makes me miss the old NBA. You will never hear any player talk like this again. It still gives me chill bumps watching MJ and listening to him talk about the game.

Youngins have no idea.... We basically watched superman every night ....he was frickin unstoppable. GOAT
  • 30yrs later, & Bulls footage still gets me teary eyed 😢 it was so special each yr back then 😊
  • @Ziggy_Poitier
Lebron demands respect…Michael deserves respect.. That’s the difference between them 🤞🏾💯

‘An unfair justice to the art and to the artists.’ Beautifully said.
  • the level of maturity MJ displayed in this interview is amazing! ..it's insane to hear how he was put on the spot about this memorable moment, and then he didn't shy away from his response...MJ ranked his most memorable accomplishments in a way that is unheard of, especially hearing him say that winning #70 was at the bottom of his list...MJ displayed an enormous amount of humility....these are the intangibles that unfortunately LeBron still hasn't mastered after 20+ seasons...
